In a case like Ohtani where his money if 95% differed for 10 years does anyone know how that works for the agent? I am of the understanding that the agents make a percent of the deal that they negotiate for the player so does that mean Nez will be making differed money for 10 years after the contract runs out as well ?

This would be nice but players and agents for players who have the age and questions that these guys do would never accept those terms they want to be sure they are getting paid top price for as long as they can most case well after they are any good.

This I think we needs lots of these moves Bellinger even last years version does not get us to the playoffs this year and even if he does "far reach here" we are talking wild card round and go home. Give me Woodruff, Montas,Anderson,Chapman and any other high upside bounce back types on 1-2 year deals so we can either flip for chips at the deadline or keep if we think its real return to forms you know things that Tampa and other mid market teams do to stay relevent. Its crazy how teams like the Giants can always get the last little bit of peanut butter from the jar that no one else could.

I dont know about you guys but my co worker keeps asking me every Monday did you buy your tickets for this season yet and I keep giving him the same not yet answer and an I am waiting to see what the team does or who they sign. At this point I am not seeing a reason to even buy tickets I can watch them win 75 games on the tv. Love Trout but its looking like it will be a hard year for him unless a whole lot goes like the 2002 Angels and not much like the 2015 and beyond Angels. I am hopeful but not optimistic at this point.

I will still pull for Sho when he isnt playing against the Angels. Just because we all have team we pull for does not mean we can not be a fan of baseball and enjoy watching good players enjoy playing it. I loved watching Acuna last year doesnt mean im a Braves fan but it was fun to watch him. Tatis is fun to watch dont make me a fan of his team. Sho gave us 6 years 3 very special ones and he did it with dignity and respect to the fans and people on the feild no mater what their jobs were to him I respect that and will wish him the best of luck just not when he faces us lol. He needs a rest day when facing the Angels.

After 20 years I cant believe that some of us cant see, beleive, or understand that Arte has no desire will or want for a rebuild, He wants his stars and toys and he wants to make money, Telling fans hay we suck and are going to suck for a few years dont sell tickets. He would rather finish middle of the pack then finish last. Until he sells the team to a new person with diffrent ideas and goals just know we are signing what ever shinny new thing he can convince to come. I am just thankful that Perry probably talked him off the Ohtani cliff to understand if we sign this guy you will be under his contract for 20 years 10 of witch he wont be selling tickets anymore.

What does everyone think of the idea of kicking the tires on Lucas Giolito ? I dont see his name talked about much currently after the horible season he had last year but that bad season could be a blessing for a team that can fix what went wrong last year. and we have a new pitching coach. Could he be had aat a value ? thoughts or opinions ?

I was lowkey wishing we could get Andrew to come here on a team friendly contract to help mentor Joe Adell and add out field depth and a good hitting approach. But it is a feel good that he has stayed with the Pirates

Of course they came back to the Angels to give Arte a chance to match ummm maybe. I think they came back to him to raise the bid over the 700 million in order to push the dogs higher for him to go to his already desired and chosen location of LA. As has been said many times in posts on this site Ohtani will not be leaving due to money he will get his check from anyone all he has to do is say his number. Honestly I would bet it comes down to small stuff people dont even look at things like weather, Taxes, Location, willing to let me do what I want when I want, do I like the guys on the team or not, Traffic. ect ect the little things are what he is thinking about im sure money isnt even on his mind maybe Nez but not Sho sooner or later he will say to Nez I want to be there get it done and it will be done.

I dont think Sandoval is a throw away pitcher but on that same token I dont see him ever getting to a point of going 6-7 innings consistantly to sulks and pouts around the mound when things dont go his way and walks way to many people and I see him as a 5 and done guy the rest of his carrer is it usfull yes but could we do better I would hope we could. But if we do nothing how can we sit back and expect change. Washington is going to help but he isnt going to reinvent the wheel or change what a guy is at his core. There is alot of 5 inning #3/4 types out there if we could use one to take a swing at something better maybe we should try.

If Sho goes else where I wish him well he has earned it and it was his right. I would like to see the following Jorge Solar 2-18 Jordan Hicks 2-20 tell him he can compete for closer roll that could increase his value Jack Flaherty 3-39 Frankie Montas 1-7 with option for second year at 10 mil Sign Brandon Woodruff while he is recoving from injury for cheep and wait him out and see if he is still above average Trade Sandoval and Renjifo to Tampa for Glasnow and any clean peanut they may throw in if any I know wishful thinking but gotta try something
