Looking forward to seeing the Angels have their first 90 loss season of the 21st century (last was in 1999). 2-4 the rest of the way, baby!

I'd be perfectly content if they just stacked all the young guys at the top of the lineup and buried the vets/soon-to-be free agents at the bottom, just to get the youngsters an extra plate appearance here and there.  Schanuel, Neto, O'Hoppe, Adell, Stefanic, Walsh, Drury, Moustakas, Grichuk for tonight, for example.

Of the names in that lineup that I'm hoping do well over the next six games, Stefanic and Walsh standout. Moose and Grichuk are old and probably gone; Drury, Schanuel, Neto and O'Hoppe are already pencilled into the 2024 Opening Day roster. Adell probably too, in a four-man outfield platoon. But Stefanic and Walsh could very well be solid role players next year, if Walsh bounces back and Stefanic provides a nice BA off the bench.

It is really too bad Stefanic doesn't play 3B, as he'd be a nice insurance option behind Rendon. He won't get much time at 2B with Rengifo and Drury around.

Stefanic has played 4 games at 3B in the bigs this year, with another 20 at Salt Lake.  They're clearly trying to see if he can at least be passable there defensively.

To me Walsh is non=tender player

Schanuel fouled a ball off his knee cap and was down on the ground, writhing in pain for a bit.  Got up, stayed in the game, and promptly lined a hard double to RF to extend his on-base streak!

Something is wrong with Sandoval.  Had a weird reaction after he threw a pitch.  Looks like side/lower back/oblique on the right side, maybe?  Hard to tell.

Herget has given up 3 straight HR in the 6th to give the Rangers a 3-1 lead.  Looks like this is kinda shaping up to be the type of game I said I'd be fine with a few days ago:
