Maybe last night was the start of a 12 game winning streak?

These fantasy scenarios that just magically turn the season around are what we think about every year. And when they happen, nothing changes.

For example last year the Angels had a massive comeback win against the Yankees in Yankees stadium, with a game-tying Grand Slam by Jared Walsh off Aroldis Chapman. Did that turn the season around? No. No it did not.

What the hell is a fight going to do? They'll have a ton of adrenaline for a couple hours, then they go home, probably bang their wives and fall asleep.

What's going to turn this season around? The team winning baseball games. They won last night, so that's a start.

I wouldn't call it a "fantasy scenario" it happens in a few MLB games during the season.  I don't think it happens.  I don't think this particular team has the moxie, the spunk, to stand up for themselves.  There lies the problem.  It would be nice if something like Trout shouting something to the opposing pitcher while he took first base after getting plunked. Again, I don't see that happening.  As I had mentioned in my original comment, the next best thing is for Phil Nevin to get in the grill of the umpire/umpires a little like Earl Weaver used to and get thrown out.  Something to instill a 'It's us against the world mentality'.  Something!

Yes, I completely agree, I hope last night's win is the beginning of a winning streak.
