the good news is that they don't have the ability to do mid-air refueling. i'm hopeful that these stolen planes also have some kind of tracking system that allows us to monitor there location. my feeling is that if they go airborne at any point in time, light them up before they can do any harm to us or our allies.

Hopefully there will be a strong naval presence in the waters off north Africa, so if any unidentified aircraft pass overhead they can be picked off.

I think our satellites in the area ought to be on highest alert for these rogue planes. Given their size and range, I'd guess targets would be in Europe or Israel, though that might be kind of obvious.

You guys are missing the obvious. They wanna kill Americas? They wanna do it close to Libya?

They're gonna go after Mediterranean cruises. Those things are full of fat Americans.

I think Malasia Air showed that it isn't difficult at all to lose an airliner.

 

And while Britain is on high alert and quite a far ways away, if I was Italy, Israel and Spain, I'd be even more worried.  Spain has been a target for large scale terrorist attacks before.  Italy has the Vatican.  And Israel is Israel.  Another target might be Dubai.  The extremists might see that as the Arab rich on the backs of the poor.  Come to think of it, Paris might be a target also.  France is in political turmoil, and they have done things to Muslims in their country that might piss off the extremists.
