Garrett Richards continued to pitch well in the Angels' rotation, stifling the Yankees for eight innings with his wicked fastball-slider combination while notching a complete game. But Hiroki Kuroda was almost unhittable. The Yankees' Japanese right-hander was on point Monday night, hurling eight scoreless innings to hand the Angels a 2-1 loss in the Bronx that moved them a season-high 15 games back of first place in the American League West.
