Taylor Ward's work with Trent Woodward

I wasn't on the Ward bandwagon last year. Too much of a skeptic or something. And I'm still in wait and see mode.

But in the little I've actually watched him, he does seem pretty interesting. Is gonna be huge if he's the real deal.

Don't think it's beyond realistic that he can be Kole Calhoun in the good years. And that will be a pretty decent...

He's much better than Kole Calhoun ever was.

Not defensively. Calhoun had a cannon for an arm, Ward's is more of a middle infielder in arm strength.

We all hope so.

But so far we've seen about 2 or 3 (maybe) months of better than him. Another few years worth of no better than him.

And he's 29.

Ward's arm from the catcher spot was as good as Calhoun's, however, it's a different animal throwing from the outfield. He is still a plus outfielder in regards to defense. He's not Phillips with speed or Renfroe or Calhoun with arms, but he's legit.
