Scariest Movies That You’ve Seen

Happy Halloween!!! For those that don’t celebrate, Happy October 31st! As a kid I was fascinated by the “horror” genre. Reading books on early horror movies up to the current ones back in the 80s. What’s a movie that scared you growing up or one that scared you recently?

For me growing up, Phantasm freaked me out.

The first of the Aliens series when pod attacked and then the chest burst. At the time it was graphically realistic.

I remember adults were watching Alien and sneaking in. The thought of being trapped on a spaceship with no place to hide really freaked me out. Throw in that scene with the chest and that will start the nightmares.

The atmosphere of that movie is about as creepy as it gets. I really liked that movie

My dad hates scary movies and he went with my mom and a group of couples to see the Exorcist in the theater. My dad is not a drinker but he said he needed some hard liquor after watching it to calm his nerves.

Both are well worth a watch (go for the original 1982 version of The Thing).
