A lot of people through the years believe Lincoln was our Best U.S. President. He did reunite a country that was torn apart by slavery, secession, and Civil War.

the war ended April 9 and he was shot April 14. he had a plan for reconstruction but wasn't the one to implement it. that fell on johnson.
