I like the way Stephen A. Smith puts it, "You don't want to be the organization that lost this guy.  You don't want to be the organization that lost Mike Trout."

And that's completely true.  The tard next to him spouts off the usual, "Yeah but imagine Trout in pin stripes.  The Yankees almost drafted him.  The Angels are just a generic team".

But then Stephen A. Smith puts him in his place by explaining that it's good for baseball.  The Angels stepped up.  You think the Red Sox regret Babe Ruth always being remembered as a Yankee now?  Could you imagine  the scrutiny that would have fallen upon teams if they lost Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle or Willie Mays?  The Angels just ensured that they'll never have to worry about Mike Trout being remembered in another team's baseball jersey. 

Trout is an Angel.  The greatest Angel.
