Notably Huston Street and Joe Smith are on the list in terms of their efficiency in shutting down the innings in which they pitch.

I'm surprised Greg Holland is not on this list. Ned Yost is an old school manager, and by placing Holland on the closer role that means he believes he is actually v better than Davis.

No matter what through, if you don't have a lead over the Royals by the 6th inning you're kinda screwed.

Hopefully the Yankees take care of the Royals in the ALDS. Best case then we can cruise past the Jays in the wild card, beat the Astros in a neck to neck ALDS, then set up a rematch of the 2009 ALCS. That's assuming our current losing streak doesn't cause our season to be over.
