Marlins seem to have given up on this guy.  Ton of potential but struggled this year.  20+ HR last year with a serviceable .260 BA.  Making league minimum and controllable through 2020.

 

Heyman says this morning that they're looking for controllable young pitching.

I'd trade Shoe for Ozuna. Problem is that the Marlins are apparently holding out for a frontline starter (according to tweets being discussed on MLB Network), which is hilarious given that the Marlins have essentially given up on Ozuna.

its not a bad idea.  He'll probably always be a .250-.270 hitter, but he's got good power and could be a randal grichuk-type

AO, you can't get upset that the Angels aren't trading prospects to get a guy that was sent down from the Marlins. Then when Staton goes down, they still don't call him up? There has to be a reason, right?

Ozuna sounds like a change of scenery would do him well. I wouldn't give up Shoe for him though, with Weaver being iffy at best I would not move Shoe.
