Not sure these acquisitions dig them out of the cellar. The team seemed pretty incomplete last season, like they had more holes than trades or free agency would solve. Still lots of time between now and opening day for them to continue to improve.

They are better but not by that much

Rangers just trolling the Angels at this point. Watch them trade for Castillo for the lulz.

The one thing the Rangers have going for them is that they do have a few young arms with some promise, probably not too far from what we have in Canning, Barria, Sandoval, Suarez, and they've had some luck in recent years getting good results from pitchers, especially in their new park. It's extremely unlikely all those guys come together in 2022, but not impossible, and if they add the right hitters and produce a middle of the road offense, they could "surprise" and be a fringe WC team. 

Their bullpen is a mess though. They need a lot of things to go right.
