I remember him. That era of Tigers had some pretty good players… Al Kaline, Norm Cash, Willie Horton, Aurelio Rodriguez (ex-Angel), Mickey Lolich…  That team stood out to me as a kid and is a part of my childhood memories.

First Angels game i went to was in 61, against the Tigers. What a lineup. Freehan was a September call up. The rest of their lineup had Norm Cash 1b, Dick Mcauliffe 2b, Chico Fernandez ss, Steve Boros 3b, Rocky Colavito lf, Billy Bruton cf, And Al Kaline rf.
