Why does Efren Navarro still play?

It seems increasingly possible that Scioscia's first choice playoff lineup will involve Navarro playing LF, given Hamilton seemingly will have to DH. But why the hell are we continuing to play a corner outfielder who isn't very good with the glove and can't hit a lick? He has a .447 OPS and .228 OBP in the last two months (2 XBH in 94 PA in that time, in case you're wondering). He might be the only Scioscia decision this year more perplexing than the endless continuation of the Boesch experiment.

That's the point, it seems like he will. Hamilton will be a DH, at best, it seems like...so he's left choosing between Cowgill, Boesch or Navarro. And it seems like he'll take Navarro against lRHP.
