Dodgers have already committed two baserunning blunders but lead the Phillies 1-0 after three innings. Kershaw has not allowed a hit so far.

 

Arizona is demolishing Pittsburgh, 15-5.

 

Yankees' playoff hopes took another big hit today as John Lackey and the Red Sox beat them 6-1.

Kershaw is perfect through four innings. He's facing a ragtag Phillies lineup tonight. Something special might happen here.

The Yankees are very interesting. 

 

Their offense is putrid

Their SP is not so good but probably serviceable relative to that park

Their pen is very good

 

They are really not a very good team yet they win the games they should with plenty of them being close.  It's a good example of what a good bullpen can do for an otherwise mediocre to not very good team.

benefit of the doubt on umpire calls / east coast bias doesn't hurt, such as Mariano Rivera getting huge strike zones, doesn't hurt either.

Dan Haren got the save in the 15th inning as Washington beat Atlanta, 8-7. The Nationals used nine pitchers.

 

Oh...and the Dodgers won 5-0 to go 42-8 in their last 50 games.
