Monty Python was one of the shows that I watched with my friends on a regular basis, when it was on PBS.  I use to have most of their records, including the album with 3 sides.

Thanks for all the laughs Terry.

This is a terryble loss.

As a Monty Python fan since the series began airing in this country in the mid-1970s, this saddens me. One of the truly sad things was that during the last years of his life, Jones suffered from a rare form of dementia that left him largely incapable of speaking. Writing partner Michael Palin said what a terrible thing it was for that to be taken from a man whose whole life revolved around words.

In typical Python fashion, former castmate John Cleese said after memorializing Jones, "Two down, four to go."
