He's hard to understand clearly, but it's not necessarily his fault.  The mix at the Big A needs to be changed up to accomodate his tone.  There's too much 'low' in the PA and it's squishing the new dude's somewhat nasally tone.  It's getting buried in the ambient noise.

 

I know, I think about this sort of thing too much.

The LA Kings announcer is terrible IMO every time I've been to a game this yr just reminds how much i appreciate what Courtney brought to the game at the arena/stadium.

David Courtney will be hard to replace at the Big A.

@DowningRules thanks for the input re the mix, I'll see what can be done to tweak it.  The audio engineers are the experts but I'll throw it out to them.  @nando, tonight will actually be the spring training announcer.  Make no mistake, David Courtney can never truly be replaced.
