Another frustrating loss to Seattle

For me it was. That game took everything out of me. A 6-14 record at the end and 10.5 games out of first.

 

 Of course, things turned around immediately and unexpectedly, and the rest is history. But the game itself was murder.

I actually started the thread to provide some perspective after last night.

 

After that game in 2002, how many fans thought our season was over? I would think close to 100%. Finishing the previous season losing 19 of our final 21 games, and then starting 2002 like that, how many people thought we had a chance? 

 

Things can turn around in a heartbeat.

How was this more frustrating than '95 play in game?

I was the same way. Funny thing is I became convinced we were gonna win it all once Eck hit Grand Slams in back to back games. I just knew it, and the feeling never shook, even down 5 zip in game 6 of the WS.

I wondered how long it would take before somebody brought up 2002....Every year that we start slowly (which seems like every year), somebody mentions 2002....
