OC Register: Angels and reliever Archie Bradley reportedly agree to deal

Recommended Posts

TEMPE, Ariz. — The Angels are getting some relief help.

Archie Bradley agreed to terms on a one-year, $3.75-million deal with the Angels, according to multiple reports Thursday.

The team has not confirmed the deal, which would bring a consistent relief pitcher to the back end of the Angels bullpen.

Bradley, 29, posted a 3.71 ERA in 51 games with the Philadelphia Phillies last season. He struck out 40 and walked 22 in 51 innings.

Bradley has a 3.09 ERA in five seasons as a relief pitcher, including a 1.73 mark for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2017. A former first-round pick, Bradley was a starter for his first two seasons.

Bradley joins closer Raisel Igleasias and left-hander Aaron Loup at the top of the Angels’ bullpen depth chart. Iglesias saved 34 games with a 2.57 ERA with the Angels last season, and Loup had an 0.95 ERA with the New York Mets.
