Another walk off win tonight for the Bees! Andy Marte continues to crush the ball and Tommy Hanson looked okay. Here is a video I took of the Bees scoring the winning run. It isn't perfect, but I think everyone will enjoy seeing it. The celebration was tempered because Marte was injured sliding home. No report yet on the extent of his injury.

How sincere do you really think he can be? http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/23496169/report-ryan-braun-calling-brewers-season-ticket-holders-to-apologize This guy also missed a perfect opportunity to make a public statement when the A-Rod situation was dominating the headlines a few weeks ago. He could have said something and been forgotten about by the next day. Guy also lost his restaurant deal. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/9639174/restaurant-group-severs-ties-milwaukee-brewers-slugger-ryan-braun

@MikeDiGiovanna: #Angels vs. #Rays: SS Aybar, C Iannetta, CF Trout, 1B Trumbo, DH Hamilton, 3B Jimenez, RF Calhoun, 2B Green, LF Cowgill, RHP Williams. Williams vs. Price. This one might be over early.

The reliever, who briefly lost his job as closer, continues his late-summer rebound with a scoreless ninth. The more Ernesto Frieri struggled in late July and early August, the more he was consumed by fear, not so much of losing his closer job, which the Angels right-hander eventually did, but of his ability to support his growing family. This is my prediction. I'm going to get my hopes up one more time. I think he's going to mash next year. Maybe not .300/.360/.570, but I think something like .275/.345/.540 with 33 home runs. I say he figures it out somehow. I have nothing to base this on just a gut feeling...lol I'm not very optimistic about Trumbo and Pujols though. I'm expecting Trumbo to be in Salt Lake by this time next year, and Pujols IMO is going to be an .800 OPS bat at best.

In a 6-2 victory against the Rays on Thursday night at Angel Stadium, manager Mike Scioscia undoubtedly liked what he saw from his younger players. Luis Jimenez, Kole Calhoun, Grant Green and Collin Cowgill went a combined 5-for-14 with five RBIs, while Jerome Williams allowed two runs in 6 1/3 innings. View the full article

By Joe Haakenson, AngelsWin.com Contributor - SEPT. 5, 2002 GAME 139 - ANGELS AT DEVIL RAYS ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Stepping into the batter's box in the sixth inning Thursday night at Tropicana Field, Garret Anderson had already hit a three-run homer, a double and a single. A triple away from hitting for the cycle for the first time in his career, the Angels' left fielder ripped a line drive to right-center field. It went over the fence. Anderson was kidded that if he didn't touch homeplate and the play was appealed, he would have had the triple and the cycle. ``I wouldn't give up one of those to hit for the cycle,'' said Anderson, who tied a career-high with s…

By Jessica Melendez, AngelsWin.com Feature Writer - What's in a name? That which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet; So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd, Retain that dear perfection which he owes Without that title - Juliet, Romeo & Juliet Naming things is hard; whether it’s babies, or pets, or baseball teams. This is because names, no matter what Juliet says, mean something. Yes, I’m saying Shakespeare was wrong. Would Romeo have been quite as attractive if his name was Barry Dungworth? I think not. This week the big Angels news hitting the internet was about the upcoming Anaheim City Council vote on the Angels stadium lease. …

Yikes. http://deadspin.com/former-major-leaguer-scott-spiezio-is-in-trouble-with-t-1260301277?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_twitter&utm_source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow But now comes a report that Spiezio's been charged with domestic battery and vandalism stemming from an alleged fight last month with a woman who told police she's his ex-girlfriend. The 31-year-old woman told cops she had visited Spiezio at his home near Morris, Ill., on Aug. 17, and that the two got into an argument that escalated into Spiezio allegedly grabbing her by the hair, slapping her, and punching out one of the windows of her car. Spiezio, 40, left his house t…

Interview conducted by Rick Dykhuizen, AngelsWin.com Contributor Last month, AngelsWin.com published an article suggesting that the Angels should promote Jeremy Berg to the Major Leagues in September. There are many good and compelling reasons for the team to do so. You can read that article here. AngelsWin.com still stands by that article. However, with the Salt Lake Bees (Triple-A) in a playoff run, that promotion may have to wait until the Bees finish up the season, hopefully with a championship. If the Bees do go far in the post season, a lot of that will depend on Jeremy Berg's efforts in the bullpen. So far on the 2013 season, Jeremy has a 5-0 record with 2.87…

Okay, is Blanton saying what is expected or can he actually bounce back next year? Personally, I think they should release him and try to trade for another pitcher. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20130904&content_id=59589054¬ebook_id=59590598&vkey=notebook_ana&c_id=ana

When CNN Latino's show Sin Limites wanted to know how Angels fans were responding to the reports that the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim were in negotiations with the City of Anaheim regarding a lease extension and possible name change (dropping "of Anaheim") they knew where to call. That's because AngelsWin.com is the internet home for Angels fans everywhere and the voice of the fans. With many ongoing discussions about this important issue for the team, AngelsWin.com had something to say about it. Representing AngelsWin.com in the studio was Juan Carlos Vazquez. A true Angels fan, he has attended many of our events, including the Spring Training Fanfest where he got to…

Has been steadily improving and has had a nice second half aside from a single start where he got hammered. His last four starts have been very good. Anyone seen him pitch? Any potential for a long guy out of the pen or is he likely a career minor leaguer?

Get real boys. 40 HR potential hitters don't grow on trees. rag on trumbo as much as you want, but there are multiple weaker areas and players on this team that deserve critisim alot more than this guy. from a business standpoint, he is still under team control for another year. and ball wise any mlb team can use guranteed 30 hr/yr. at least he can see the difference between a rapido and a breaking pitch, unlike a certain other recent angel free agent slugger signing.

Dominant pitching and timely hitting led to victories in nine of 10 games for the Angles, but that has not been the case the past two nights, as they dropped back-to-back games to the Rays, the latest a 3-1 loss Wednesday night at Angel Stadium. View the full article

Judging by the numbers he's put up during his career, C.J. Cron knows what to do with a baseball when he sees one. Based on his family pedigree, the Arkansas Travelers first baseman and Los Angeles Angels prospect may have had an unfair headstart in that area. Cron, who was christened Christopher John Cron Jr., is hitting .313 with two homers and 18 RBIs in his Double-A debut with the Travs. His dad, Chris Sr., a second-round pick of the Braves in 1985 who reached the Majors with the Angels in 1991 and White Sox in 1992, has been a Minor League manager since 1995 and currently helms the first-place Erie SeaWolves, the Tigers' Double-A Eastern League affiliate.
