I am trying to buy tickets for a show in Vegas, but I guess this applies to anywhere. Does anyone know a way to buy the tickets and avoid the fees? I am looking at two tickets to see Bill Burr, the tickets are about $140 a piece but after fees it comes out to $375 for the pair. Before I throw the money at it, if someone knows a way to avoid it I would rather look at that option first.

https://variety.com/2021/music/news/michael-nesmith-dead-monkees-1235130849/ Michael Nesmith, who attained TV and pop stardom in the Monkees and later became a prophetic figure on the Los Angeles country-rock scene and then a multimedia entrepreneur, died Friday of natural causes. He was 78. Nesmith’s final show was less than a month ago, when he and the cohort who is now the Monkees’ only surviving member, Micky Dolenz, capped a farewell tour at L.A.’s Greek Theatre Nov. 14. The duo were booked for a cruise in early 2022 that was to have served as a truly final gig together. The group’s and Nesmith’s manager, Andrew Sandoval, confirmed the death on soc…

He could act, dance, and had a great tenor voice. In theater, someone who could act, sing and dance was referred to as a "Triple Threat." He was one of the most talented T.V. Stars I ever saw on the TV Screen during my youth. RIP. Eddie Mekka, Carmine on 'Laverne & Shirley,' dead at 69 (msn.com)

SCE is calculating that I can save Nine dollars in 2022 if I switch over to their Time Of Use plan. It is so tempting. I am curious if anyone else has received a savings projection that would make it worth switching.

I've been noticing this more and more online and its starting to annoy the hell out of me. People in relationships that use Facebook or Twitter as their primary form of contact with their partner. Seriously, no one cares about what you're talking about. Call them or send a text for crying out loud. Why advertise it all online? Any other social media annoyances out there?

https://www.self.com/story/dwayne-the-rock-johnson-pees-in-water-bottles-during-workouts/amp Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is known, among other things, for his intensity in the gym. The actor is so serious about his workout time, in fact, that he refuses to waste time on bathroom breaks while in his “Iron Paradise”—preferring to repurpose empty water bottles, as he explained in a new interview with Esquire. Johnson, 49, opened up about the unusual gym habit he first revealed incidentally during an Instagram video in 2017, in which a water bottle full of transparent yellow liquid is clearly visible at one point. "I just realized you all just saw my big bottle o…

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/brass-against-apologizes-lead-singer-154953642.html Brass Against, a band known for performing brass versions of rock songs, has issued an apology after its lead singer peed on a fan’s face at a festival in Daytona Beach last week. Yes, you read that right. During a set at Welcome to Rockville on Thursday night, singer Sophia Urista pulled down her pants on stage and peed on a (surprisingly willing) fan mid-song. On Friday, the band posted an apology on Twitter, assuring fans that it wasn’t a planned stunt. “We had a great time last night at Welcome to Rockville. Sophia got carried away,” the tweet read. “That’s not s…

https://nypost.com/2021/11/19/man-claims-spooky-video-shows-ghost-dog-playing-with-pup/amp/ Was it a case of paw-ranormal activity? Australia’s Jake DeMarco was left shaken after a bone-chilling CCTV clip appeared to show his pet pup Ryder playing with a ghost dog in his backyard in Melbourne. The “Pet Sematary”-evoking video, reposted by Caters News Agency, shows Ryder chasing a translucent white pooch around outside in a fenced-in area. The two canines can be seen playfully frolicking by a water tower before Ryder’s alleged phantom friend scurries out of the frame. DeMarco, 38, told Caters he was particularly shocked at seeing the second dog in …

I am putting this thread here because I am hoping this subject doesn’t get politicized. Many of these stats come from the CDC: There are 95,000 deaths per year due to alcohol, that is 261 deaths per day and 2.8 million years of potential life lost. Per year, the US loses 250 billion dollars due to alcohol. In 2020: 10,142 deaths due to drinking and driving 5,000 death of youth under the age of 21 died do to alcohol 50% of all sexual assaults involved alcohol 63% of all intimate partner assaults involved alcohol 45% of physical assaults overall involved alcohol 40% of murders involved alcohol So my question is wha…

This event has shown that even though you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, that doesn't mean you can't ever catch the virus. General Powell was vaccinated for COVID-19, and he not only caught the virus, he died from it. This is good reason enough for Joe Biden not to hurl mandates at the American People. RIP Colin Powell, and thank you for your great service to our country.

I would highly recommend a trip to the Petersen Automotive Museum in Mid Wilshire. Just went, and the cars were amazing. Plus they are at 25% capacity, so you could take your time looking at the cars. From what I understand, the Vault is also open, and due to the Rona, no tours, you can just go down and wander and take pictures. Anyways, if you don't want to take the trip, here is pretty much every car they have on display. (Didn't do the vault though) https://photos.app.goo.gl/iHmtmMG5kqxhU7Xz5

Holy shit…I’m getting mauled by these bastards. I have no clue how to get rid of them, and I rarely ever see them inside the house—but I still get bit like twice a night. How do I get rid of these worthless pieces of shit? I don’t ever remember this being an issue in SoCal until this year. Ive tried Eucalyptus oil, Neem oil, not opening windows, etc…but I’m still getting bit.
