David Freese went 3-for-3 to break out of his spring slump; Kole Calhoun, Albert Pujols, Erick Aybar and Matt Long each notched a couple of hits; and Mike Trout scored two runs and drove in two as the Angels beat the Brewers, 12-2, and the starters had their most impressive offensive showing since the Cactus League opener nearly two weeks ago. Bats: Left Throws: Left Height: 6’1â€ 170 lbs. DOB: 10/23/95 (AZL-Angels): .271/.311/.422 with 3 HRs and 4 SBs Just looking at the numbers, you might be wondering why they merit such a high ranking, especially considering how far away he is from the Major Leagues. Look at his age. Last year, he was only 17 playing against the far more polished high school and college prospects and he more than held his own. The Angels signed Natanael out of the Dominican Republic. The Angels were very pleased to grab such a talented player as they rebooted their international scouting and development. In fact, they were so impressed with his skills that they had him completely sk…

In case there was ever any doubt, Kole Calhoun is the Angels' leadoff hitter. He's started in nine of the days the Angels have had a Spring Training game, and he's led off in all of them. And every single time he has, he's taken the very first pitch of the game. That's by design. View the full article

Erick Aybar drew seven walks in his first eight Spring Training games, which is pretty good for a guy who has averaged one walk every five and a half games throughout his career -- and no fluke, if you ask the Angels' speedy shortstop. View the full article

My band has been in contact about playing the " angels music garden " Friday night before home games . I have never been to one since I only make 2 or so games a year since I live in AZ What is it like ? Large crowd or not so much ? Mainly trying to see if it's worth a drive from Prescott AZ for 5 guys . I'd do it in a heartbeat to perform at the stadium but sadly I'm the only Angels fan in the band

Thought most things were set but going through the roster some tough cut down decisions to be made -- some non-roster invitees will probably be given their walking papers this week so that maybe can catch on elsewhere...... STARTING ROTATION (6) Weaver Wilson H. Santiago G.Richards T. Skaggs J. Blanton (big contract, long relief, sixth-spot starter -- keeping him costs Shoemaker roster spot) PEN (6) Frieri F. Salas J. Smith De La Rosa (is he back off DL?) M. Kohn S. Burnett (starting season on DL?) One more spot to take place for Burnett/ De La Rosa if on DL CATCHER: (2) Iannetta Conger (why is Torrealba in camp as non-roster guy? Are we trading…

Seems to be getting a lot of playing time and deservedly so. Perhaps some room on the 40 man was cleared for him? Has Scioscia, Dipoto, or Servais said anything about him in terms of where he is on the depth chart? Good showing today from him, Romine, and Cowgill. Bench battle starting to pick up!

I am browsing the Angels website to check pricing on various games this year and I noticed something strange about the service fee charge. The Angels are using dynamic pricing for games so prices for the Yankees are more expensive than Athletics (as an example). What I noticed is that when you buy a ticket there is also a service fee. The service fee is also dynamic. So for example. if you bought tickets in Lower View All star, the service fee is $7.50 for some games and $3 for other games (in the same location). I am trying to understand why that is? You would think the same amount of effort and resources goes into selling any game and the service fee would be s…

Andrew Romine had just completed the 2013 season, was headed into the offseason of his first out-of-options year and knew he needed to bulk up. He and his wife, a trainer and nutritionist, mapped out a workout regimen and diet that would ultimately add 20 pounds of lean body mass to Romine's frame, putting the 6-foot-1 infielder at 200 pounds by the time he arrived for Spring Training.
