One of the features that AngelsWin.com really takes pride in is our Los Angeles Angels Top-50 Prospect List. It gives us a chance to do an in-depth review of the entire organization and getting to know all the prospects within the system. In order to make the list, we travel to several of the Angels’ Minor League affiliates to go and watch the players. Over the years, we have developed relationships that allow us to interview the players and share those interviews with all of the Angels fans. For us, watching these players develop and grow is a source of pride. We invest countless hours following them, discussing their strengths and weaknesses, and reveling in their…

One of the beauties of baseball is that it spans 162 games during the season. Additionally, there’s Spring Training and hopefully the post season. And, if that isn’t enough, there’s the entire Hot Stove season to keep fans going. Where would baseball fans be without all the stories to help us through it all? Guiding fans through it all are the members of the media who bring us the daily stories. They are the ones who watch it all and help us make sense of it. They’re the ones with the insights and creativity to help us understand a 1-0 game in August. At AngelsWin.com, we believe that we have some of the best reporters and media members in the game. We know…

Prospect Profile: #18 Los Angeles Angels Natanael Delgado Bats: Left Throws: Left Height: 6’1â€ 170 lbs. DOB: 10/23/95 (AZL-Angels): .271/.311/.422 with 3 HRs and 4 SBs Just looking at the numbers, you might be wondering why they merit such a high ranking, especially considering how far away he is from the Major Leagues. Look at his age. Last year, he was only 17 playing against the far more polished high school and college prospects and he more than held his own. The Angels signed Natanael out of the Dominican Republic. The Angels were very pleased to grab such a talented player as they rebooted their international scouting and development. In fact, they …

Seriously, we should all be cheering for Blanton today. He won't be starting for us to start the season, but maybe he can find another team willing to trade for him if he pitches well today. So, let's all cheer "GO JOE BLANTON" so soon we can say, "Go, Joe Blanton."

http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/10587626/manny-machado-baltimore-orioles-disappointed-new-deal Manny Machado has agreed to a new deal with the Orioles worth $519,000, but the third baseman admits he's slightly disappointed by the contract, according to the Baltimore Sun. "It is disappointing, but at the end of the day, you just have to go out and play," Machado told the Sun. Machado, 21, will earn a $100,000 bonus for winning the 2013 Platinum Glove Award, which honors the American League's best defender. He made $495,000 last season with a bonus of $25,000 for making the All-Star team. "I'd love to be an Oriole forever. I love the organization, I love the fan…

Prospect Profile: #19 Los Angeles Angels Keynan Middleton Bats: Right Throws: Right Height: 6’2â€ 185 lbs. DOB: 9/12/93 (Orem/AZL-Angels): 1-3, 7.76 ERA, 18 BBs, 20 Ks, 29.0 IP A two-way sports star (baseball/basketball), Keynan Middleton was a late rising prospect that the Angels took in the 3rd round (95th overall) of the 2013 draft. If there’s one word that describes him, it’s “projectable.â€ Keynan throws both a 2-seam and 4-seam fastball anywhere from 91-95 mph. The two-seam has late run and the 4-seam has good side-to-side movement and sink. He also throws a hammer curve, and is developing a slider and changeup. He has smooth mechanics, mostly …

Not a good feeling. It's only ST but his approach and results are exactly the same. Lazy ass ground balls on the left side. I really hopes he comes around but after 2 years I really think his trajectory is set at slightly above average. At least the Reds got a few stellar years out of Griffey. Cmon Pujols prove me wrong.

By David Saltzer, AngelsWin.com Senior Writer I have a really good friend named Mike. We go back a long time. I think it was 7th or 8th grade when we first met. I’m not 100% sure, but at this point it doesn’t matter. We’re just really good friends. When we were younger, we had many adventures together. We took road trips all over the country. Time was cheap, gas was cheap, and we were willing to do crazy things. Then he got married and had a child. There were more demands on his time. He had to get a serious job and began working to support his family. Soon I started working and then had a family to support. Our last road trip was probably 18 years ago. G-d, t…
