Seriously. This dude has been HUGE in Weaver's absence. You literally cannot expect a guy filling in for your ace to do any better. I honestly felt he was better suited for the bullpen but he keeps proving me wrong. If nothing else, it's nice to have a go-to guy that we can rely on if any of the main starters go down. I really hope Mike at least ponders keeping Jerome in the rotation for the rest of the year, because he has been great.

I think this team is play excellent right now. During this streak it seems that they are having a one home run per game. i think they might take this streak a little bit longer

The Destruction Tour continues in Chavez Ravine where the next victim, the Dodgers, will feel the wrath of a fully operational Red Death Star. Halos will sweep the leg. They will crush them. See them driven before us. And, we'll hear the lamentations of the women. And, it'll be fun to watch all this while I eat a plate of ribs. A tip of the cap to all those who serve. Let's do this!

I think I've found the most obscure baseball player of all time. A fellow named Higby, who played in one game for the Brooklyn Atlantics of the National Association in 1872. Nothing else is known about him, not even his first name. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/h/higby01.shtml

is Chris Iaanetta's On Base Percentage, despite batting only .209. He's currently on a 6 game streak where he's drawn at least one walk. He's practically got a 1 to 1 ratio between walks and strikeouts (31 BB's to 33 K's). On the flip side, Aybar has a .279 On Base Percentage and can't seem to execute a suicide squeeze. I understand that the club has an 8-game winning streak and you don't necessarily wanna mess with a winning streak. But, I just see way too much upside with having a hitter who operates exactly like a lead-off man batting AT the lead-off spot. The offense has been very solid, but imagine how much better it could be if you can increase the amount …

Kennedy was scheduled to start one of the games in Monday's doubleheader against the Texas Rangers, but will now be replaced by left-hander Tyler Skaggs, who will be recalled from Triple-A Reno. ...exactly the reason i dont do dishes... btw...it will be good to see skaggs pitch

By Danny Farris, AngelsWin.com Contributor - Halo fans! It's May 26th. We have won eight straight. We've got Weaver coming back this week. Our next three series are against the Dodgers, Astros, and Cubs. I literally just ate pizza. Things are going well right now. I apologize for not keeping everybody up to date on the Fan Cave shenanigans. It's been an incredibly busy and amazing month and a half and it would be impossible for me to break everything down. So instead, I'm going to give you guys my most memorable, disappointing, and surprising moment so far. Most Memorable: This one is nearly impossible for me to name. Every player that comes to visit is awesome.…

I am watching the MLB TV Royals feed for the game that ended today. Wow, these guys are bad. It's amazing how I could be comfortable with their homerisms when they were cheerleading for the Angels. It is painful to listen to, now that I have been listening to Rojas and co. I know exactly why the Halos made a change. Hudler was acting like Hawk Harrelson today, and even tried to will a deep fly ball to be hit over the wall ala The Hawk. Physioc was pretty bad with the Halos, with his canned and obvious chatter that any fan would know already, so he was no shock to listen to, but Hud was unlistenable. A real eye opener. We are lucky to have Victor Rojas. His knowledge, …

From the LA times. Tommy Hanson could return for Thursday night's game against the Dodgers. Hanson will throw 75 pitches in extended spring training Saturday and the Angels expect him to only need one start before he rejoins the team. Hanson is returning from a three week stint on the bereavement list. May 25 - 10:29 AM

As rivalry renews this week, last-place Dodgers and below-.500 Angels are getting little bang for big bucks. But that doesn't mean high-payroll approach is wrong.

The Dodgers barely had emerged from bankruptcy last year when the Angels made their annual pilgrimage to Dodger Stadium. The home team featured an infield of Elian Herrera at third base, Dee Gordon at shortstop, Jerry Hairston Jr. at second base and James Loney at first base. View the full article

That's the overall "score" of the Angels vs. their opponents during their 7-game win streak. That's 7.7 runs/game vs. 2.6 runs allowed/game. Not bad.

We've won 8th straight, we don't get Kershaw, and, if the Dodgers don't come back today, they will 4-6 in their last 10. Time to push closer to .500 at the Doggies expense

Buckner, who gave up two hits in five scoreless innings against the Royals on Saturday, is replaced by reliever Kevin Jepsen. The Angels have decisions to make as players return from the disabled list. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Billy Buckner received a not-so-lovely departing gift Sunday. One day after giving up two hits in five scoreless innings of a 7-0 win over the Royals, the Angels right-hander was designated for assignment. View the full article

Angels rally in late innings to complete a four-game sweep of Kansas City and move to within four games of .500. Jerome Williams pitches six innings to improve to 4-1. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It took a month and a half for the Angels to find a formula for success, one that was clearly evident Sunday in a 5-2 come-from-behind victory over the Kansas City Royals that extended their win streak to eight. By Geoff Stoddart, AngelsWin.com Director of Social Media Where do you go when you have a question? You ask an expert! Angels fans have lots of questions about this team right now: "Are they still in it?" "What should we expect from Weaver upon his return?" "Is Mike Trout going to beat out Miggy for MVP this year?" "Am I the only one who wants to jump off a cliff when they hear "Buttercup?" These are all valid questions, and they deserve answers! So we worked to assemble a sophisticated group of experts to answers all your Halo related inquiries. Unfortunately, our efforts to assemble such a group fell a little short. So in the absence of actual experts,…
