Does anyone agree that its time to bump Hamilton down again? I know Kendrick is better down in the lineup, but I don't think he'd do particularly poorly in the 5 hole. I think it gives Trumbo a bit more protection if Kendrick continues on the .300 level for AVG. Having Hamilton at 5 right now is like a black hole in our lineup where rallies seem to go to die.

"Ernie's scuffling a bit right now, but Butchy's working with him so we're not too concerned. The ball was coming out of his hand well and he was pounding the zone. A couple of balls found some bats, but these are big league hitters and they're going to pop one every now and then."

Here is a scenario that I don't think has happened ever in a MLB game but let's see who knows the answer. I will post the answer after the Angel game tonight. Billy Bob of the Atlanta Beavers is throwing a perfect game into the 7th inning . With two outs in the 7th, a ball is hit to the left fielder and dropped for an error. Billy Bob retires the next next 7 batters in a row and is credited with a perfect game. The final box score looks like this 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 R H E Hens 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 Beavers 0 2 0 0 0 1 0 0 x 3 8 1 How is this possible that he gets credit for a perfect game?

Is it just me or does it seem like he's missed on getting a glove on several balls that he normally does? Maybe I'm being overly critical, but every time there is a tough play with a runner on second and a ball that need to stay in the infield, he's got at least an outside chance but can't make the play. Thoughts?

It might give some pleasure to note that Vernon Wells has been playing terribly of late - his stats are down to .263/.313/.457. Wells is 2-22 in his last five games and is hitting a very familiar .229/.260/.375 in May. I personally don't wish any bad mojo on Vernon but it is nice to know that it wasn't just being on the Angels that made him play so poorly. Torii Hunter's numbers--.312/.358/.427--are surprisingly similar to last year (.313/.365/.451) although with even less power, only 2 HR so far this year. Like Wells he's cooled off a lot in May, hitting .253/.306/.354. I predicted his numbers would drop this year - that his loss of power and high BABIP last year wou…
