It seems no coincidence that right around the time Scioscia started showing a little emotion, the team started playing better baseball. Hopefully this was just a self-perpetuating rut that everyone fell into, and things will be closer to what we expected from here on out.

I'd been having a shitty day today - was taking my daughter to Universal Studios and I had a blowout, and by the time I got it fixed I was running a fever and had the flu.  Decided to go back home and relax, hurled my guts out for a bit.  Took a nap and when I woke up, I turned the game on.  Was just in time to see Scioscia going off.  That made me feel a bit better.
