We cannot last a month without Hamilton. Sign Morales, lose the draft pick, hope season isn't over in April AGAIN.

I must say I am not a big fan. He blocks the ball decently. He's probably average to below at throwing runners out Not a very good receiver or framer. But the real thing that get's me is his pitch calling. In particular his propensity to call a fastball and set up near the plate when the pitcher is ahead. Am I crazy here? His offense is ok, but the other stuff is pretty bad.

Calhoun Cowgill Trout Pujols Freese Kendrick Ibanez Ianetta Aybar We have to try something. Extending the lineup by putting Trout and Pujols 3/4, hopefully we can get some guys on in front of them so they can drive in runs.

5ip 1h 0r 0bb 6k. Thought it would be nice to highlight a minor leaguer or two relative to a solid performance for that day. Especially those that we may not know. I think AW interviewed him and MWAH ranked him in their top 30. Maybe we can post what we know of him and then move it to the Minors forum when it cools off.

As one of the focal points in an article by Sam Miller about the changes the Angels made to their player development, the conclusion about Alex Yarbrough by Scott Servais was that he “is going to play in the Major Leagues.â€ We fully agree. Yarbourgh’s biggest asset is his bat. Yarbrough led the Cal League in hits by a healthy margin (182 hits-27 more than the 2nd place hitter who played in 4 more games than Yarbrou…

It's becoming clearer than ever that Albert Pujols, Josh Hamilton, and the like will not bring us to the promised land. The fact that our farm system is rated dead last is very troubling. For this season, our current rotation is a work in progress, the bullpen is questionable, and now our hottest hitter may be out for months (still waiting on the MRI, though.) I really want us to make the postseason consistently. Right now I don't see many reasons to be optimistic about the next five years. Trout can not do it by himself.

Yes. Those Mariners. The same franchise with 35+ years of irrelevance, average payroll, and roster full of busts and never weres (sans Cano and Felix).

DOB: 10/02/91 (Inland Empire/Burlington): 1-5, 4.57 ERA, 29 BBs, 78 Ks, 63.0 IP When evaluating Cam Bedrosian as a prospect, there’s a lot more to see than just the numbers. The numbers only talk about the past without telling a full story, and unless looked at critically don’t show just how much of a future Bedrosian could have within the organization. Originally drafted in the 1st round of the 2010 draft (29th overall), Cam’s development has been hampered by Tommy John surgery (costing him the entire 2011 season). In 2012, the Angels kept Cam in the rotation to help him rebuild his arm strength and get the in…
