TEMPE, AZ, March 16, 2013 — AngelsWin.com talks with Joe McDonnell (FOXSportsWest.com and; FoxSports.com), Jeff Fletcher (Orange County Register), Alden Gonzalez (MLB.com), and Victor Rojas (Fox Sports) about the highs and lows of their jobs, their favorite sports moments, and their best and toughest interviews. Moderated by David Saltzer, the Senior Writer for AngelsWin.com, the guests were asked to lift the veil behind their keyboard or microphone and to reveal some of the inner workings of the Press Box. They were asked the questions that fans want to know. And, unlike when providing most of their content (where they need to remain neutral and impartial), the membe…

The Dodgers released infielder Dallas McPherson MLBTR has learned. The 32-year-old client of Pro Talent Sports Group is now a free agent. McPherson signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers in December and had been re-assigned to minor league camp earlier this month. The former top prospect last appeared at the MLB level with the 2011 White Sox. A left-handed hitter, McPherson has 209 home runs and a .289/.370/.563 batting line over the course of ten minor league seasons. per mlbtr.com damn, still cant believe how hyped this guy was coming up through the Angels' system. Looks like he is moving on yet again...Too bad...

The Angels face Texas in spring training, and Hamilton hears a mixture of cheers and boos from fans of the Rangers, who he left in December to sign with the Angels. SURPRISE, Ariz. — Josh Hamilton got a taste of what life will be like on April 5, when the Angels are in Texas for the Rangers' home opener. View the full article

Some Rangers fans have launched a "movement" to remain silent during Josh Hamilton's return to Arlington. Not sure if this was discussed before. I think that's great, it will make it easier to hear him crush a ball into the right field stands. They even have "Baseball Town Since 1972" shirts. Funny, their twitter account was created on February 18th, two weeks after the Super Bowl ended. https://twitter.com/Silence4Josh

I know it's Spring Training so it's easier to overlook the win-loss record but the team ERA still sucks. We rank 30th -- dead last -- with an ERA of 6.89. There's a huge difference between the Angels and the 29th place Astros with their 5.72 ERA. Even if you remove Chad Cordero's disastrous 11 ER's this spring, we're still in last place by ERA by a long shot.

http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/a-summary-of-the-positional-power-rankings-data/ Fangraphs recently ranked/rated the position players -- they posted their summary today adjusted for park effects and had the following to say about the Angels potential line-up. "Beyond just that calculation error, there are some other interesting things to be gleaned from the results. For instance, holy crap the Angels line-up. . They probably won’t actually end up with +35 WAR from their position players — it’s easier to underperform than overperform projections due primarily to injuries — but the gap between their starting nine and everyone else’s starting nine …

Sucks for Dodgers fans. Also sucks for MLB. The WBC is so dumb. I hope the Angels stop allowing their players to participate.

The Angels pull Hanson after his triceps tightens up as he's warming up to pitch in the fourth inning. He says it's not serious, but if it persists it could bump him from the rotation. TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Angels took no chances with pitcher Tommy Hanson Wednesday, removing the right-hander after three innings of a 6-5 exhibition win over the Cleveland Indians because of tightness in his triceps, an injury Hanson says is not serious. I know everyone has been waiting on pins and needles regarding the status of Bill Hall... Bill Hall can become a free agent on March 26, but he said Wednesday that he would consider staying with the Angels on a minor league deal. Per the terms of Hall's minor league deal, the Angels are supposed to decide by March 26 whether to include him on their 25-man roster. That's not going to happen now that he's nursing a left calf strain, but he could still stick around in the organization. Mar 20 - 1:24 PM Source: Jeff Fletcher on Twitter

Just went to angelsbaseball.com to log into gameday audio and what do you know... looks like Chirstmas because on the sidebars OldDominion Trucking is advertising. Checked a couple of other teams site... they have none. Are they allowing the teams to make this decision for themselves? I doubt it. Wonder if its a test? If so, they fail horribly You can check it out at http://angelsbaseball.com
