Third-base prospect Kaleb Cowart had one major point of emphasis this spring -- continuing to find consistency from the left side of the plate, which has so far been the 20-year-old switch-hitter's major blemish. If Wednesday's game against the Giants was any indication, Cowart is making major progress. View the full article

Sorry ladies & gents for the downtime. I'm done though so carry on. BTW, by this time next week I'm moving the website after hours to an even bigger server and dedicated for just AngelsWin.com instead of shared. Load times and speed will increase tremendously. For me its been fast (outside if our server maintenance tonight) but you the members have spoken so I will pony up more $$$ for hosting costs on a stand alone server. Goodnight..

He released this a few days ago: http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/02/24/jeffrey-loria-posts-letter-to-our-fans-in-miami-newspapers/ And then for good measure decided to start talking again today for some reason: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/fish_bytes/2013/02/audio-marlins-owner-jeffrey-loria-discusses-stanton-trades-franchises-future.html His ability to selectively remember history or just flat out spew BS is impressive, really. And unfortunately, he insists he has no interest in selling the Marlins.

When Chad Cordero was recently pulled off the field in Minor League camp by Angels assistant general manager Scott Servais, he thought it was to simply go over Monday's outing -- his first appearance in a game in nearly two years. Instead, he got an invitation to Major League camp. View the full article

Former All-Star left-hander Mike Hampton got the itch to get back in the game a few months ago, so he had his agent put out feelers for potential coaching jobs. And the most appealing wound up being the new pitching coach for the Angels' Double-A affiliate in Arkansas. View the full article

THE GAME: The Angels tied for the second day in a row, deadlocking an 8-8 game against the Giants in Tempe. The Angels scored six runs in the final two innings, including two in the ninth, to knot up the game. The Angels are still winless, though, at... View the full article

Angels wouldn't mind seeing fewer strikeouts from the aggressive slugger, but Hamilton's style has been pretty successful.

TEMPE, Ariz. — Josh Hamilton swung at the first pitch he saw as an Angel, and all of Texas appeared to snicker on Twitter: That's Hamilton for you — one pitch, one out. View the full article

Driving home from announcing tonight, in the distance I could see Angel Stadium, awesome as usual, and the halo was lit up! Well, half of it was... So when we tie, we can light up half of the halo? Then it got me thinking... pretty sure whenever we won from 2005-2009 the Halo would only light up half way too... lets get a win so that I don't have to have electricity-problem flashbacks to the times where "Lighting up the Halo" only lit 4 of the lights...

With Ryan Madson almost certain to start the season on the disabled list, the Angels will have to figure out who closes until he's ready. The natural assumption is that Ernesto Frieri gets first crack at the job, considering the fact that Frieri was... View the full article

Right here. Cowart at #42, no other Angels make the list. Ouch, but not surprising.

From now on, whoever starts the first lineup thread for each day, please use title the thread appropriately. As an example Gameday Thread: 2/27 Angels vs. Giants Thread Title = Gameday Thread: Date Goes Here (space) Angels vs. (Opponent). Thanks guys!

For exactly two weeks, dating back to the very first day he arrived in camp, Josh Hamilton has been getting used to life with the Angels. But something about Tuesday -- site of his first game, uneventful as it may have turned out to be -- still felt different. View the full article

Do any of you all have any photographs of great scenes of the stadium. Maybe the BIG A , The Rocks , The Hats , or anything else that you would think would be worthy of a great scene. It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide these great scenes for an artist. Thanks, Take it easy.

when you guys played, how important was it to your pregame routine and prep to know beforehand where you would hit in the order? i know it messed up my pregame regimen when i didn't know if i would pinch hit, hit 3rd or 4th or wherever (playing at a low level of organized baseball) appears to me that over the last few years, the angels have had lacked consistency in thier batting order- espescially when compared to other mlb teams. how do you think this affects hitting performance?

By David Saltzer, AngelsWin.com Senior Writer -- It takes a lot to make a successful Little League baseball season. It starts with the dedication from the people who organize the league, includes all the hard work from the coaches who run the teams, and ends with all the hours donated by the parents who make it all happen (especially the team moms!). It's a labor of love, not only for the game, but for our children. In the end, whether your child makes it into the Major Leagues or not, it's worth it because Little League teaches so many valuable life lessons. In addition to all the above, a Little League division could not survive without financial donors. There are …
