I'll hopefully be seeing some of these guys this Sunday at Tempe Diablo.

 

Given that it's early I don't expect to see too many of the regular MLB staff (except possibly Aybar, who will be playing in the WBC) and am looking forward to seeing some of our prospects and new non-roster invites in person.

I think this early part of spring training will be a good time to see some of these guys compete. You know they'll be trying to impress.

Has there been any update on Cron if he'll participate in spring training? I know that Cowart, Maronde, Grichuk all received invites but I can't seem to remember Cron being available post surgery/rehab.

Cron didn't get an invite to big league camp, but Alden Gonzalez said earlier today that he's doing everything except throwing in minor league camp and is targeting playing 1st by Double-A Arkansas's Opening Day.

Cowart seems to be making good contact so far; I'm looking forward to seeing the youngsters.  Looks like we'll be out there St. Paddys Day til the next Monday... if my buddy finalizes his vacation.

Apparently our AA prospects are turning heads in Spring Training this season.  I've heard Cron is recovering nicely, looks healthy. Cowart has definitely turned heads in big league camp, he's far beyond where they thought he'd be coming in and it looks all but certain he'll go to AA.  Lindsey's performance last Spring already opened some eyes. Grichuk has been hitting for power in BP.
