I mean I guess if you suspend any objective criteria by which to assess a team's potential and probability for success, it makes sense to believe.

  7. RED SKELTON'S RECIPE FOR THE PERFECT MARRIAGE 1. Two times a week we go to a nice restaurant, have a little beverage, good food and companionship. She goes on Tuesdays, I go on Fridays. 2. We also sleep in separate beds. Hers is in California and mine is in Texas. 3. I take my wife everywhere, but she keeps finding her way back. 4. I asked my wife where she wanted to go for our anniversary. "Somewhere I haven't been in a long time!" she said. So I suggested the kitchen. 5. We always hold hands. If I let go, she shops. 6. She has an electric blender, electric toaster and electric bread maker. She said "There are too many gadgets, and no place to sit down!" So I bought her an electric chair. 7. My wife told me the car wasn't running well because there was water in the carburetor. I asked where the car was. She told me, "In the lake." 8. She got a mud pack and looked great for two days. Then the mud fell off. 9. She ran after the garbage truck, yelling, "Am I too late for the garbage?" The driver said, "No, jump in!". 10. Remember: Marriage is the number one cause of divorce. 11. I married Miss Right. I just didn't know her first name was 'Always'. 12. I haven't spoken to my wife in 18 months. I don't like to interrupt her. 13. The last fight was my fault though. My wife asked, "What's on the TV?" I said, "Dust!". Can't you just hear him say all of these? I love it. These were the good old days when humor didn't have to start with a four letter word or political. It was just clean and simple fun. And he always ended his programs with the words, "And May God Bless"with a big smile on his face.

I believe the Angels will win more than 60 games this year.

  9. Really excited to see what Adrianza can contribute. He may only have a .659 OPS in 1550 career ABs, but he's just 34 years old. This might be the year he unlocks another gear.

  11. I get that win/loss record is not a great indicator of pitching success but 18-40 is enough to say that he hasn't been good.

  14. I have no blurred vision of this team being anything more then 500 in the best of cases but I will say I am liking the style that they are playing its more fun to watch then everyone standing around waiting for a homerun to happen and going 1 base at a time on hits. That was so boring to watch last couple years.

It has been in space since 1977. Think about it, no repairs on anything has taken place on this craft for nearly 50 years. Just amazing.

  19. The White Sox are now 3-19, with a -78 run differential. They've only scored 45 runs so far. It's hard to be that bad.

  20. lmao at Lakers fans blaming the refs as if they have helped them all freaking season with that crazy FT disparity. Always a good day when Lebron loses. Better day when he retires.

  24. I think it's time to sit Trout and tell him it's time to get his shit together. Bases loaded with two outs is no time to play umpire on borderline pitches, foul that shit off.

  25. Boneheaded baserunning mistakes aside, Jo Adell has legitimately been phenomenal this year. His statcast numbers show an expected batting average of .315, and expected slugging percentage of .478. With 2 HRs and 5 SBs in ~35 ABs, you could extrapolate those figures for a full season of 600 ABs and estimate that Adell would be on pace for 30 HRs and 75 SBs over a full season. While these numbers would probably be wildly optimistic, they do show that his small sample size production at the start of this season has been truly elite.

  27. That's ok. We can disagree. I think if you're going to draft college pitchers with 19 of your 20 picks, you're probably hoping more than two of them would have hit the majors in some capacity by now. I just don't see much talent there. Bachman is the only guy from that draft who's listed in the top 10 AngelsWin.com prospects. The only guy from that draft who's in the top 30 Angels prospects on MLB.com's Pipeline is Ryan Costieu at #11, even though he hasn't pitched since 2022 due to TJ surgery (I'm assuming they don't consider Bachman a "prospect" any longer, even though he still qualifies as a rookie). Kerry has had a good start to this year, but his numbers in previous years haven't been very good. Murphy was the closer for one of the best college programs around, but struggled last year when he was repeating AA. Jones could maybe be a respectable middle reliever at some point.
