I disagree. There's been plenty of games where Calhoun and Pujols contributed and Trout pulled an 0-fer. 
 
Love Mike Trout, but he has SUCKED the past 5 weeks and quite frankly, but not him alone, he will most likely cost us a playoff berth.

Jerry was the best GM this team has had in my opinion. He was smart, communicative, likable and set up an infrastructure from scratch that worked effectively. The Trumbo, Conger and Kendrick trades were among the best this organization has ever made. The Mike Trout extension is an absolute bargain.
It's a shame to lose him.

Uh oh, I just thought of something. Remember BDP (before Dipoto), we never really made trades at the deadline to add offense. It seemed year in and year out our offense would struggle, then a couple weeks before the trade deadline our offense would blow up and score a ton of runs giving us a false sense of security, only to go back to mediocre after the deadline. This weekend could be the start of that.
