The Angels had pretty much the most interesting player in the world on their team last year and I don’t think their attendance changed all that much.
I think the Angels have a pretty big built-in base comprised of casual fans who just want to go hang out and don’t even know what’s going on, and hardcore fans who will go no matter what. For those in between, I think a winning team is more of a draw than any individual player.

Why "imagine" a Trout/Harper combo when we can actually watch an even better Trout/Ohtani combo?

Pujols and Hamilton are Arte’s legacies! Albert has been almost a complete waste of 240 million while Hamilton was a conplete waste of 125 million. The 80-90 million that Pujols is still owed is the difference between being a non contender and a perennial challenger. You have the best player of this generation holding up a cripple. The Angels’ future totally depends on Arte and the club’s attournies buying out the remainder of Pujols’ contract. This will be the difference between signing Trout to an extension and pursuing top free agent talent and staying at 75-80 wins every year.

Keuchel would be a way better investment than Kimbrel. Buttrey looks like he has the stuff to be a future closer. Don’t spend that much on the pen unless that is the missing piece to be a WS possibility.
I agree with those who say sign Machado. The Halos haven’t produced a legit third baseman since Troy Glaus almost two decades ago. Ward should be moved back to catcher, another position the Angels have failed to produce since Benji Molina.

Hitting in the Yankee Little League park isn’t much different than hitting in Colorado. The AL East is littered with hitters parks unlike the NL West. Arenado doesn’t strike me as a Yankee type. I think the Red Sox would be more of a fit than the Yankees. Let’s hope he wants to come home.

Approach Simba next about extending.   Both he and Trout are generational talents at their respective positions.
Obviously, Trout is the more overall talented player.   Simba is an infield leader, a generational defensive player, and an already emerging offense talent.

The only way Pujols is moved is if he wants to retire as a Cardinal. Given the money he is owed this is the only scenario that would make sense. Obviously, the sooner the better!

This is taking a chance on a 29 year old with a high upside. This beats Lance Lynn for 3/30. Now Eppler needs to add a quality catcher and a couple of pen arms. One more starter like Marco Estrada would be nice too.

They can have two lefties in the pen, they’re not limited to one. Why make this trade until they’ve also signed another one.
Garcia has some benefits over some Angels relievers, despite the ERA, but not over Alvarez.
I don’t get this or the Parker move honestly.

It would take a lot more than Calhoun to get Teheran. The Braves could re-sign Markakis for less than half of Calhouns salary. I agree that the Angels won’t get much for Calhoun unless they eat at least 7-8 mil. Of his contract. Parker could return a prospect just  outside top 30 prospect. I would keep Shoe to see if he is healthy and throwing back to his 2015-16 level. He can always be traded at the deadline.

I was curious what non-Angel fans thought about Adell so just did a quick search and in the first two articles that came up he's ranked #2 overall in the first one and as one of the 3 OF'ers mentioned in the other.  The second article lists a starting roster without ranking the players and when referring to Adell says:
"Not since the rise of Mike Trout have the Angels produced a player with anywhere near the same galaxy of talent that Adell possesses. He projects as a top-shelf center fielder, who could develop into a Reggie Sanders/Eric Davis type due to the big arm, speed and power potential he easily wields. He reached Double A as a 19-year-old and looks equipped to continue his quick push toward an Angels roster that needs him sooner than later."
Only time will tell but it seems he's thought of highly so that's not a player you part with unless he brings in the piece or pieces that get you over the hump.  The Angels have multiple needs and they've been restocking the system to work towards the future and I don't see them as viewing Kluber or someone like him as the piece.

At some point you have to roll the dice with your most promising prospects, it's the only way to get cost controlled superior talent and take a jump forward.  You are not going to screw someone in a trade, and it's not likely to be cheap.  And we have discussed free agents to death.  The only other source is the international market, that can be really expensive as well for top talent, and everyone is in on it.
We don't know enough about Adell to suddenly give up on what he could bring to the party.

He’s out of options, so it’s more likely he’s taking the place of someone like Noe, or they’ll DFA him and try to stash him in AAA at a later date.

Any chance he has Eric Chavez as his bench coach? I am in favor of infusing the staff with new voices. I would try to raid the Rays staff, the Rays players tend to over achieve.

No doubt negotiating a buyout with Pujols would be ideal. However, Albert is oblivious to his yearly declining abilities. It is up to Arte now. I would love to see the Angels sign Marwin Gonzalez. He can play every infield and outfield position. If the Angels are going to use a short bench versatility is a must.

The last thing this organization needs is continuity. They have had the same on field voice for 19 years. It is way over time to make a complete change. I would send Ebel to manage in the minors if he wanted to remain in the organization. This is Eppler’s time to make the changes he wants to make.

Because it’s another piece of evidence in a long list that shows that he is never ever going to be fully healthy again. At some point you have to hope he’s going to see that and want to negotiate a buyout so he doesn’t have to put himself through it. But probably not with him. There is no coming back healthy next year, his base that used to be powerful is now completely destroyed. I actually really think a lot of the decline is simply health related and nothing more. I get why he doesn’t want to give up the money but the Angels need to sit down with him and discuss the constant injuries and what it means for him over the next 3 years. When you hear Sosh saying for the 2nd straight year he was in pain the whole season, you have to wonder what the point even is
