I have no clue what Chavez brings to the table  ... zero experience is the new phase nowadays

You contradicted yourself with your Pujols take.

Chavez has more coaching and managing experience than Pujols and is a propionate of advanced stats/metrics. He was a good ball player when healthy. Understands what defense means to success.

I said that tongue in cheek ... sorry if I’m not supporting your guy .

Although, Pujols might bring more to the table by being out of the lineup and salary off the books. He just might also be instrumental in a Trout extension.

My guy is the hard nose Darin Erstad who will bench you if you’re not playing the game right. He’s not a players coach which I like.

How do you know?

If Erstad as a manager is anything like Erstad as a player then we can bank on him having one great year and then living off that one great season for a long time.  People won't notice the drop off in production because he's gritty.

Yes. How do you know how he’d treat major league players as the manager?

We don’t know but we do know how he treats his current team and we know how he played the game.

My bet is that if Pujols doesn’t run hard on a ground ball  ... he’ll be riding the pine.

Trout would love Erstad imo
