Shohei's interpreter is slacking, dude you have the best gig ever, at least

Shohei's interpreter is slacking.  C'mon dude you have the best gig in the translating business and all of baseball as a common folk, don't screw it up!  Noticed that the interview asked a long question and his interpreter bounces 3 words over to Shohei, wtf?

Is it possible Ohtani understands English and understood what the interviewer was asking? and maybe his interpreter was saying "Did you understand?"

  2. Because I am such a selfless person, I am furiously going to bitch and complain about this team on a message board until we get a win, and then bitch about the way we won and complain about the fact we didn't win 13-0, and Sosh needs to be fired, and Trout sucks, and Jorge Ohtani needs to go back to the Venezuelan Republic, and that Josh Hamilton was the greatest Angels player of all time.

  3. It's funny how within the context of a baseball season, a lot of us ride the roller-coaster of emotions as the Angels will play well, and then slump. I always find it funny how quiet this forum gets when the Angels play well, but then they start to play poorly you would think that we were the 2003 Detroit Tigers. Hell just watching @Chuckster70's Twitter feed during a game is a fun adventure all its own. We are a pretty good team, we have the 2 most exciting baseball players in baseball, a pitching rotation that is finally coming into its own, but you wouldn't think that the way our team has been playing lately. Our team has issues as well, a bad bullpen, a 52 year old cleanup hitter, and a lasagna eating tub of meatballs who is actually quite progressive if you think about it (Allowing a six man rotation to accommodate Ohtani, shuffling the lineup) but he refuses to hurt Albert's precious feelings by moving him from the cleanup spot.

My point is that we are a pretty good team that is a few adjustments away from being a great team, and also we are not the Dodgers. Talk to me in 10 years when we pine for the days of Ohtani and Trout.

If Calhoun has a big night tonight it’s because an 81 year old catholic lady named Carol just called into Roger Lodges show begging all Angel fans to pray for Calhoun to find his swing.  She then led a prayer on radio for him.

Probably the best call Lodge has ever taken.

Well they did do a Native American cleansing ritual at Angel Stadium back in 2002 so....you never know what will work. I hope they were praying to @Jobu

  5. @Griffey's Corner Well written post mortem of the Angels problems lately. I'm not the kind of fan who gets overly pissed off game by game, but last night had me ready to flip tables. I kept hoping that Kole would do SOMETHING offensively to help this team, but instead was completely predictable. Also we need to figure out how to win the games that don't feature Ohtani either hitting or pitching. I also agree EY Jr. would be better than Chris Young.
