We actually had people complain about Mike Trout and Jered Weaver this year. Man what happened to our fan base? I get that we are losing, but Jesus Christ if you are going to point out the negative every single time, how do you actually enjoy anything at all? This is a thread that was created after winning 2 of 3 from possibly the best team in the AL. We finished the year strong, enjoy it for what it is......good baseball.

frankly, i've enjoyed watching the blanton-less angels a whole lot more. i hope dipoto has, too.

I want to see the Angels finish the season strong.  If they can end the season at .500 or a couple games above .500 I'd be really happy.

of course people are disappointed, but I am sure others like myself don't care to see the same negative comments in every thread
I would rather be positive, cheer for the team for the remainder of the season and hope they put together a better team/management/personnel for 2014

if someone else is willing to take him, make the deal. if there are no takers, keep him in his current role of reliever. this man should never start another game for the Angels.

He is interviewed after each and every game, for a team that sucks. After awhile it all sounds like a cliche. I realize a certain contingent of people would like to see him throwing chairs and jumping up and down on reinforced desks...but the reality is there's a reason guys like Bobby Valentine don't last.
 
But rest assured...if he does blow a gasket the same contingent will say it's proof he should be fired, that he's lost the clubhouse and his temper.
 
Suggestion is, if you don't like the same plain jane interview he's given for the last 13 years, whether they've won or lost...be like everyone else and don't watch.

If this team is still bad in 2017 I wouldn't blame him.  However, I believe this organization has hit rock bottom this year and will bounce back. I know right now people find that hard to believe but I do think that the right changes are starting.

The All-Star Game sucks for three reasons:

what makes everyone think that Sosh is stopping trout, bourjous, etc.. from running?
for all we know they may have the green light everytime, but they themselves dont feel comfortable, or arent getting good reads, plus how can they attempt to run when hamilton doesnt take any pitches and swings at everything??
Sosh does and says a lot of crazy stuff but this blaming him for every single thing that goes wrong is getting really old and tiresome
i was all for hamilton in the 2 spot, but that experiment has clearly proven to not be working and its time to move him down the line up

He's stating the same garbage in the same asshat tone as the FOX commentators do when the Angels play on Saturdays.
 
A better article would have been if this writer actually had any insight into why Albert might be performing this way.
 
I personally think the team wants Pujols to take care of himself, but I think Pujols wants to play and get through the season first. Not an ideal plan, but I really think his passion to play is what's delaying the inevitable. 

I am, and will always be, IN. I too, enjoy being around positive people. I have learned that negative people tend to have a victim mentality, and that doesn't sit well with me. Your optimism is certainly appreciated. You will not receive any emotional, snap judgments from me and GO HALOS!!!

I hate losing.  I'm as frustrated as anyone and yet I haven't missed going to a home game yet this season.  I've been reading all the rants and quite frankly - I just want to know who's still in this thing.  I know you're out there.  I know that even though you're frustrated, you're not going anywhere and I'd just like to see you stand up and be counted in this thread.
 
This isn't life or death stuff... it's baseball, but if you love baseball like I love baseball, then you probably want a place where you can rally around others.  This thread is it.
 
I know (boy do I know) - there will be many who will try to rain on this parade - but that's ok. 
 
If you're like me - you haven't responded to all the negativity and quite frankly some of the nonsense because you know it's pointless.  And yet... you want to be heard... you want to express yourself and let everyone know that you're still here to watch and cheer and not disappear.  You don't have to suffer in silence. 
 
I want to be surrounded by others who aren't giving up and not so bent on pointing fingers.  There's plenty of other places to do that, but here; in this thread - it's about rallying together.  It's about ignoring the crap and focusing on the games.  We embrace the "one game at a time" mentality and we're proud of it.  We're willing to turn the page rather than relive it over and over again.

Finally a poster who gets it right. I haven't missed a game this season and will be attending as many games as possible.

I don't need a break from Angels baseball... maybe some Angel fans, but not baseball.  No way.  The off season is too long and not having baseball to watch is awful.  The way I see it, following the team through ups AND downs is part of the journey.  It's funny to see fans bailing in April, but that's their prerogative.  If they're just going to whine and complain and play the blame game, I'd rather they did take a break because having them around makes watching a game far less enjoyable.
 
I get frustrated and angry too, but I'm not about to take a break.  That's MY prerogative.  I love baseball - especially Angels baseball, warts and all.  That's just me.  Again, if people want to bail or take a break - more power to them.  I'm fine with intelligent conversations about why the Angels have sucked so far, but the venting gets old.  It's perfectly understandable, but it still gets old.

Yeah some of us actually work so staying past 10:00 at the park on a weekday ain't going to happen especially when Halos are losing 10-4

At this point it's rather irrelevant to me whether Mike Scioscia should get fired or not.  When players with these credentials play like this there is not a manager on this planet who will get them to win.  It's pretty easy to blame just about anyone in this organization for this start, including DiPoto, Scioscia, the coaches, and virtually all of the players.  I might even be inclined to blame Arte for meddling with the construction of the players on the team (even though he has every right to do so).  I could even blame the fans for constantly crying about certain players, and wanting changes to be made every fifteen minutes, eliminating any consistency or stability.
 
The organization will get to the firing, trading, releasing stuff soon enough (probably real soon at this rate).  Until then I don't plan to let it eliminate my interest in baseball, or snuff out any hope that this team as currently constructed can find answers to their problems. 

If he hits 30+ HR again this year (which I think he will), no one will care about what his weight is.
