Should the Angels look to trade _______? 
Answer: Yes!

Yes. This is a no brainer.  

Trout has a full no trade clause. I think he only gets traded if he specifically asks for it, which I don't honestly see him doing. 
If they WERE going to do something like this...they'd trade Ohtani. I don't want them to do that but he's the far more tradeable asset and the one most likely to net a reasonable return.

Even if we wanted to trade Trout, how many teams would be able to take that salary?
Looking at the aftermath of the Marlins dumping Stanton tells me it's a terrible idea. 
If we traded Trout we'd probably not get any great prospects, have to eat some salary, be an even worse team, and be the team who traded Trout. 
We're better off allowing him to naturally decline and cement him as an Angel HOF and hopefully build around him. 

It doesn’t need to be creative.  Adell and Rengifo start, period.  There is absolutely no reason they should not at this point. If it means Marsh doesn’t play much or goes back to SLC, oh well.  He had an extended opportunity. Now Jo gets his chance which includes the right to suck for an extended period.  

Rengifo has been a little asshole refusing to work any walks. The last 12 games he has a. 287 batting average but his OBP is the exact same with zero walks. In the previous 94 plate appearances he has a total of 2 walks. This is bullshit from a light hitting middle Infielder. He is one of the reasons the Angels offense sucks. 

Agree with all you said but I'd add that the bullpen cant get anyone out. I think that out of all the losing they have done this year, at least 1/2 has been due to bullpen. Loup and Tepera, who both have been good for 2-3 years in a row, now suck.

I look at each game as a separate entertainment opportunity.... I have the "I wonder what I'll see today" attitude.... It's still baseball and Ohtani definitely makes things interesting.
As far as "looking forward" - I'm more curious about whether or not Fletcher can make a meaningful contribution, whether or not Adell makes it back to the majors this year, If Marsh is going to be good or not, how good Detmers can actually be, etc., etc.
 

Still looking forward to the trade deadline, and honestly that's the biggest reason I still follow heavily.  After that I'll probably pretty much check out, sad as it is to say.  I'll still follow individual player performances but I doubt I'll watch too many games

Historical performances suggests the bullpen isn’t this bad.

100%, but I haven’t heard about the Angels hitting coaches helping players make adjustments during this horrible stretch.
 
Makes you wonder if the coaches are bad at their jobs or if the players they have are incapable of making quality adjustments.

I guess it depends on who they trade away at the deadline. Obviously if they trade Ohtani or any of their other legit players then they will be even worse. This year’s team is very special in the terrible department so 100 losses is possible

The last time the Angels had an owner, GM and manager who were on the same page, they won a World Series. The owner (Disney) got out of the way and the the manager and GM transformed the  organization into a winner.
After that trio went their separate ways, the organization became dysfunctional over time and here we are. 
Mike Scioscia and Bill Stoneman don’t get enough credit for transforming the organization. Disney didn’t get enough credit for letting them.
I have no idea how the Angels get back to that level of success, the way it’s currently constructed and managed.

Exactly, its about revenue, not making the team better.  And were now almost 5 out and thats of the expanded field so weve regressed even further from last season. 
They have to know by know, or at minimum have a good idea what his plans and thier options are, if they dont they are incompetent.
All im saying is that if they are not reasonably sure they can get it done, then you have to look at options.
I still care a lot more for the name on the front of the jersey, than the back, so no one should be 100% untouchable.
I would trade Trout and Ohtani or anyone else if it meant getting the angels back into winning ways sooner.   Watching two great players on a crappy team gives me personally no joy whatsoever. 
Barring some major turn around in the next couple weeks, and i mean major, you gotta start selling.  Its long passed time if this team actually cares about winning ever again.  How many years are we going to have these same absurd arguments?

I’m about to sound like an asshole, but if Shohei wants to win, then he has to hold some of the blame for the team not being in a playoff spot right now. He was awful during that 14 game losing streak.  Without the losing streak, even if they just played bad, they would hold a playoff spot right now.  They lost half of those 14 games by 1 run.  If Ohtani or Trout showed up at all this team wins 4 or 5 of those games.  This doesn’t even mention Ohtani struggling on the mound where he gave up 9 runs in 9 innings in two of his most recent starts.

His injuries will be the end of him. As a result, he’ll never find a rhythm.

I trade Ohtani he will bring back the biggest package of prospects.

The hitting sucks.  The pitching sucks.  Rendon, Fletcher, Canning, C-Rod, and others are injured.  How is the defense?
