Why does anyone care who we sign at this point? You ladies are acting like we can actually get worse. 

It's been a bit of a downer type of year.  But hearing that Richards' stem cell therapy has worked to the point where Tommy John surgery won't be needed and he'll be able to return for 2017 has to be a shot to the arm for this fan base.  We're getting our ace back on the mound for next year.  Throw in Shoemaker and Skaggs throwing the ball well and suddenly we've got ourselves a solid front three.  Who knows, maybe Meyer is healthy and pitches up to his ability and Nolasco pitches as well as he can being at home.  Suddenly we have a formidable rotation again to go along with a suddenly resurgent offense. 
2017 might not be a lost season after all. 

The guy makes 90k a year and picks the hours he works. Sounds pretty good to someone who got a business degree, works an 8-5 and I make half that amount...Also, my degree took 4 years when his took 18 months. 

There are bright sides to this season.   Trout, Calhoun, Escobar's BA, Pujols' run production, Simmons' defense and July hitting, the emergence of Bedrosian/Guerra/Ramirez in the pen,  Bandy behind the plate, and Skaggs' return featuring two very good starts

I think you are misclassifying all pitchers involved here. We traded one mediocre pitcher for 2 bad ones.

A trade so bad that not even Stradling can put his usual homer spin on it.

So basically, we got a front-line starter in Skaggs and a big bat in Cron at the deadline, without giving anything up.

I have really bad hemorrhoids right now and they hurt like hell. I think they keep popping as well because I keep having to wipe for no reason. The last shit I took was like pushing out a sock filled with Legos.

I disagree with that philosophy.  There can be more than one team that is successful.  I am curious.  Do you feel that your life is a failure because you are not at the top of your profession?

You add one legit bat and this team can keep up with anybody offensively.

Escobar's misjudgments are aggressive and are far outweighed by his contributions. His biggest crime might be that he is blocking Cowart in the imaginations of some fans.

Exactly. If all the teams in the AL West decide to go 25-40 or whatever the rest of the way and the Halos can somehow keep winning. Then yeah, great.
It's been a long and crappy season. Just enjoy the pointless winning streak for whatever its worth. At least it's kind of fun to watch again in the meantime.

Angels have the best player in baseball, the best defensive SS, a solid MOTO bat in Calhoun, a lead-off hitter in Escobar who can actually get on base, Cron and Pujos who both can hit for power, a solid starter in Shoemaker, a capable 3/4 starter in Santiago, a potential top of rotation starter in Skaggs, and crap load coming off the books.  The team has resources to turn it around quickly.

There was something about his body language last night.  Can't tell that well on television but I had the  "fuck it lets pitch" feeling.  Here's what I have see if you can hit it.  When Nava was napping in the first (please let's buy Reedick) Hector seemed fine.
im sure there telling him to use his fastball almost entirely, but he is capable of throwing some nasty off-sped stuff.  I'd keep Santigo, and actually extend him if possible.
An ace?  Unlikely but a damn good #3 at least.

We'll get a couple of prospects who might pan out in 3-4 years, and he'll win 20 games and a Cy Young for another team.
Honestly, I think we have the potential for a great rotation next year if we just have a little patience.
