Tyler got a reaction from ten ocho recon scout in ReDone Wuss
Best part about Rendon is that he doesn’t cost a roster spot since he’s guaranteed to be out 60+ so credit where credit is due. Real team player.

Tyler reacted to Angelsjunky in Injuries Quantified- WAR totals
That chart is actually rather disastrous. Trout hasn't played more than 140 games since 2016 - that's 7 seasons, now. He was so damn good and played enough in 2017-20 that he was still great, but even after the 2021 disaster, missing 40+ games the last two seasons, coupled with decline, and it really starts to take a toll on team performance.

That would be a huge mistake. He's one of the best GMs we've had in a long time.

Tyler reacted to Chuck in So do we put some players on waivers in hopes of trading?
The St. Louis Cardinals were 10.5 games back in the Wildcard on August 25.
They won the wildcard.
I'm not saying that's going to happen to the Angels, but you can't give up now.
Especially when you got Trout, Neto, O'Hoppe and a few others coming back soon!

Arte has consistently sprung for a top ten payroll. Be careful what you wish for. You might get an owner that isn’t willing to do that.

Underrated acquisition….hopefully not just for this year but for beyond….

Really really nice inclusion of Lopez in the Giolito trade. Having one more reliable pen arm is huge, though I'd still like to see one more pen addition by the deadline.

Tyler reacted to vladdy#27 in Angels acquire Randal Grichuk and CJ Cron for Jake Madden and Mason Albright (option Cabbage, DFA Padlo, place Ward on 60-day IL)
This creates a nice platoon for Moniak/Grichuk and Moustakas/Cron when(if) Trout(Rendon) are healthy
Moniak's OPS vs RHP 1.049 (.419 vs RHP)
Grichuk's OPS vs LHP 1.066 (.744 vs LHP)
Moustakas' OPS vs RHP .817 (.662 vs LHP)
Cron's OPS vs LHP/RHP are basically the same this season but over his career he has been slightly better versus LHP .815 than versus RHP .785
That's actually the case with Rengifo and Drury as well
Drury's OPS vs RHP .868 (.678 vs LHP)
Rengifo's OPS vs LHP .900 (.607 vs RHP)
When healthy this creates a deep lineup versus both right and left handed pitchers
vs. RHP something like
LF Moniak (1.049)
DH Ohtani (1.146)
CF Trout (.902)
2B Drury (.868)
1B Moustakas (.817)
RF Renfroe (.775)
C Thaiss (.716)
SS Neto (.700)
With either Rendon slotting into the middle of the lineup or Rengifo/Escobar towards the bottom
vs. LHP something like
SS Neto (.957)
DH Ohtani (.919)
CF Trout (.759)
LF Grichuk (1.066)
2B/3B Rengifo (.900)
1B Cron (.763)
RF Renfroe (.725)
C Wallach (.915)
With either Rendon slotting into the middle of the lineup. Or Drury going in front of Cron
Playoff teams have deep lineups that can hit RHP and LHP this gives the Angels a deep lineup versus both.

Tyler reacted to Blarg in AngelsWin Today: Nolan Schanuel (Angels 2023 First Round Draft Pick) Exclusive Interview with AngelsWin.com
Dammit, I though he was still at instructional and not Inland or I would have sweated out a game to see him play. Obviously way too talented to hang with a bunch of high schoolers and Jucos, but a two league jump says High A isn't much competition either.
He has definitely secured a Spring Training invite and maybe locks down 1st base sooner than expected.
Next year's starting lineup could include Schanuel, O'Hoppe, Neto, Adell and Moniak. All 25 and under that can hit, get on base or just send one into the rock pile.

He got up slowly for sure. Rendon would be out for at least 2 years.
