It was ugly, but it counts the same.

That probably could have gone better. 

Trout should have a BB, but the fact that he can no longer hit a 94 mph four-seamer over the heart of the plate does not help, either. 

I wonder if a team has ever outscored its opponent by 20 runs but lost the series.

After watching him in the WBC, I legitimately thought he was ready for a breakout season. It's the biggest letdown so far for me, and yes I am including Trout in that. 

Without Rengifo, the Angels would have been no-hit in a bullpen game.

Doesn't sound jerky to me. It would be great to see Trout step up when the team is going through all these injuries at the moment. I don't think it's unreasonable to at least hope for that from the guy with the highest contract in baseball history. 

And that's why you have to get in a runner from third with no outs.

I think he probably was. But they did not show a single angle to prove that conclusively. And that has always been the standard.

Maybe they are privy to a different angle in New York. Or maybe they just called it the Dodgers way for the hell of it.

My dad has been dealing with cancer for 5 years now. Things seem to be stable at the moment but as we all know, that can change in an instant. My brother died of cancer three years ago and Fathers Day has not been the same for my dad since. This evening I will be making carnitas tacos for him and watching the Yankees vs Red Sox on Sunday Night Baseball.

We don't share the same politics, or taste in beer, and he grew up a Dodgers fan... but we both hate the Yankees and Red Sox. Nothing can break that bond. 

9 runs wasn't enough against the worst team in baseball.
