For a brief, joyful moment, I thought this was going to be my favorite game of the young season.
Estevez is my least favorite Angel in a long time.

The consensus is that Trout is an automatic first ballot HOFer.
But will all his incomplete seasons reduce that assumption?
No

I can only imagine how Trout feels. Has he had this before?
A season cut short by injury? Once or twice.

If they end up setting a franchise record for losses and luck out in the draft lottery, can get their first top 3-4 pick since Glaus in 1997.
Can't predict ball. Maybe they go on a run and make things fun.
Seems unlikely, I know. But stranger things have happened in baseball.

Exactly. You'd probably have to GIVE UP prospects to get someone to take Trout's contract. Lol
Dude. Don't give them any ideas.

That's the worst review I have seen in years.

On the plus side, at least Adell didn't kill Trout there.

NY bribed by umps union?
That is one possibility.
Another possibility is that it's a shitty, imperfect system.

I do sometimes wonder if NY is anti-Halos. How many calls have they gotten wrong against the Halos?
Why would they be anti-Halos? We haven't been relevant in a decade.
The umpires on the field sometimes make bad calls and the replay umpires in New York then do everything they possibly can to uphold the bad call.
It's a shitty system. There is no conspiracy.

The umpires in NYC are not doing everything they can to make the correct call.
They are doing everything they can to uphold the call on the field.
Do people really not understand that after all these years?

We were also expecting the young guys (Neto etc) to take a big step forward in development.
I was hoping for that, not expecting it.
The one player from whom I truly expected a step forward was Sandoval. That has been a staggering disappointment.

We might lose this game.

He's this generation's Aybar.
In terms of baseball IQ, yes.
But I don't think anyone will ever do the occasional random-ass-weird-things-that-somehow-worked-out like Erick Aybar.
Even his first name is weird. I miss that dude.

Youll be right about him the next two months, then wrong again, then right the final two months of the season.
At least his velocity is up today. That's too much math for me.

This is my favoriite Rendon moment of the last five years.
For the love of God, bullpen, don't blow this.

He knows Trout isn't clutch and probably would have struck out.

Schanuel batting .130?
What the hell is he still doing in the lineup?
Wait.. where did this post go?

So the bullpen is, once again, a fucking problem.
Who could have seen this coming?

I was going to say 3 runs isn't bad if Detmers has a bounce back inning...but that 4th run...that kinda hurts.
Detmers is the one who doesn't suck ass.

It was fun until it wasn't, which is something I feel frequently when Estevez closes.
