idk about you guys but I'm just about ready to completely move on from our "rotation of old" to guys like Barria, Sandoval, Suarez, Canning. I'm not calling for them to be called up ASAP but it will just be a welcome sight to see when they do arrive. There has just been too many bad memories with guys like Richards, Skaggs, Heaney, Shoemaker and Trop. It is just emotionally exhausting rooting for any of these guys to stay healthy.
I agree completely, but isn't that what they're in the process of doing? They let Richards and Shoemaker walk. I have not heard anyone talk about extending Heaney, Skaggs or Tropeano. (Admittedly I could have missed something.) If those guys can't stay healthy, don't we expect the Angels to let them walk, too?

Who is faster AP or Bour?
It doesn't seem possible that anyone could be slower than AP... but after that play, I honestly think Bour is slower. He looked like he was dragging one of those resistance parachutes behind him.

this is literally one of the worst umpiring performances I've ever seen.
It's truly atrocious. Many of these pitches he's calling strikes are more than a baseball out of the zone.

I feel like this movie is highly underrated.
I agree. Most of my friends have never seen it or even heard of it. If I remember correctly, it came out just after 9/11 and a movie about the moral ambiguity of a CIA operation was not something the public wanted to see.
A couple of years ago at Christmas I gave my brother some framed film cells from an original print of Spy Game. He has them hanging on his wall at work because we loved that movie so much back in the day.

After seeing one championship in the first 33 years of being a fan, I can't imagine anything lessening the satisfaction of winning "a couple" more in a five-year period.
If anything, it would be more fun to say to my friends who are A's fans: "Don't be mad just because our owner is willing to spend money for his fans."

Upton with a brilliant read there on the Simmons double.
I had to run out for a minute (well, In-n-Out on a Saturday night, so more than a minute) and missed that part. The gamecast reads that Upton only advanced from second to third on Simba's double to "deep center." Is there something I'm missing? Was it really THAT terrible of a read?
I mean, not like that one run means anything at this point.

The WS MVP is kind of a dumb award because it’s based a super small sample. I don’t think people even remember who wins the WS MVP. It’s voted on basically by the sponsors.
I didn't realize how true this is until I just tried to remember every one going back to '02. I got last year (which undoubtedly I would have forgotten by next season), '02 (which I will never forget for obvious reasons), Freese in '11... and that's it. I'd completely forgotten about the legendary performances from Sandoval and Bumgarner in '12 and '14.

He had one at Oakland in April of '13 that was the longest I remember him hitting.
