Skaggs is the poster boy for the Angels the last few years. Very talented. Oft injured. Shows signs of being very good. Ends the day not as good as you think he could be which makes him what he is.
I used to think he was very talented and had lots of potential, and I would get super frustrated with his goofy curveballs and four-straight-balls-on-an-0-2-count. Then I started looking at him as a #5 starter at best, as a guy you can never count on to be tough and go after a hitter... and now I don't mind him nearly as much. He is what he is: he's not bad, but if you're counting on him to be a frontline starter, you are bound for disappointment.

Single away from the cycle!
Florida Man will pull the circuit breaker again to prevent that.

Three is great, but come on Calhoun and Smith. Could've broken it open.
Let's go Tovar!
Relax, no way Skaggs gives up three runs. Right?

Jesus, Shohei. Off the bat my first thought was "I hope that splits the defenders and he can get a double."
It never occurred to me that might go out. Dude is strong.

Hell of a job by Canning to put up four scoreless innings against this Dodgers lineup after surrendering those three runs in the 2nd. This is the kind of young pitcher who gives you optimism about the future.

I haven't been county. How many of the six Seattle homers have come off Trop?
I've been to county. It's more fun than watching this team.

you were saying?
Ausmus got tossed between innings.
I was wrong. That was good to see. I guess I just miss the bewildered look on Sosh's face as he barked from the dugout.
-
Disgusting umpiring, but it makes me angrier to see Ausmus just stand there like he doesn't give AF. Those pitches weren't even close.

Fletcher is more enjoyable to watch so far this season than Trout.
The Angels should plan to trade Simba instead of extending him.
Also, In-n-Out's fries are better than McDonald's.

Both to Encarnarcion last weekend in Seattle, same shit.
So Skaggs can't put it anywhere near the plate with 2 strikes; Heaney can't put it anywhere but dead center.
That being said, one hit through 5 innings against Gonzalez is more pathetic.

I can't wait to have Justin Upton's defense back.

Wait, it was a COMBINED no-hitter? If it were a perfect game or one pitcher throwing it, I would understand the anger, though not necessarily agree with it.
Being pissed about bunting to break up a minor league, combined no-hitter is about as lame as you can get.

Lucroy sucks balls.
You are not wrong, but the situation also sucks - that Lucroy has to bat cleanup.

Buttrey threw 9 whole pitches. Can't push him any more than that.

We should have extended Puello and La Stella instead of Trout.

Ohhh, Fletch. Out at third. That running play did not work.
Only because the throw was perfect. Oh well.

and he's back to being great again.
I knew I shouldn't have burned my La Stella jersey two innings ago.

Trout would have popped up to RF there.
Don't be ridiculous.
He would have struck out looking.
Seriously, though, great job by Puello.

Is this the worst slump of his career?
He was well below average (by his standards) in the second half of 2017, especially in September (.237 average in 27 games).
But I agree with tdawg. Trout needs to pull his head out of his ass. He has the biggest contract in baseball history and right now I feel far more confident with La Stella or Fletcher at the plate.
