What the actual F*ck is Mike Trout's problem?
If I were to try to remember the 10 worst at bats of Trout's career, I feel like 8 of them might have been this season. It's getting depressing.

Chapman back to Yanks, after being traded to the Cubs....only one I can think of....
Cliff Lee went back to Philly one year after being traded to Seattle. But that's the only other one I can think of.

Cozart has a -.8 bWAR despite only playing in 37 games. That... ain't great.

Trout is our messiah.
If he were clutch that would have been a homer.

Yeah, having the lead sucks compared to getting blown out.
That was idiotic, I admit it. I actually thought it was tied and was super frustrated by 3-4-5 not even moving the runners over. I shouldn't post when I've been drinking.

Those runners stranded on 2nd and 3rd will come back to haunt us won't it?
It's really hard to avoid that conclusion. (But then again I had a lot of beer tonight and thought it was a tie game.)

I remember when I thought yesterday was the low point.

This is actually really true. Almost every season for the last decade there’s a absolute low point that is dumb and pathetic that you just laugh.
The moment this year has lasted this since Sunday.
Yep. Minnesota has the best record in MLB. Matt Harvey is absolutely terrible.
No point getting upset at this game. Just laugh at how much Harvey sucks.

Even if he has to throw 300 pitches.
When he gets to 200, make Cozart pitch.

Harvey and Cozart are not my favorite Angels ever.

Why did you even bring a bat with you, Mike?

Simmons just swings at shit, never strikes out, but seemingly doesn't know a Facking thing about pitch recognition. The guy tomahawk chops every pitch it seems.
This is the part that has been maddening this year. Was he always like this and I somehow didn't notice?
In the 1st inning yesterday, Ohtani walked on 4 pitches (with Trout on second after hitting a double) and then Simmons just hacked away at the fist pitch he saw and popped out. Couldn't even advance the runners. The guy might be the smartest player I have ever seen in the field. How can he be so brain-dead at the plate so much of the time?

I would bump the blame up a little more for the offense. You gotta score more than 1 run against a 16-30 team.

The Angels will not reach .500 again this year.
The franchise record probably will.

Aumus is mailing this one in.
I know it's just one spot in the lineup and it's 9th, but Cozart just sucks the life out of the Angels offense it seems.
Oh and why does Zack look a bulldog chewing on a wasp every facking time they show his face on tv?
According to BR, his OPS+ is -3. I honestly did not realize it could be a negative number.

I know I’m crazy but if Harvey could get going and Heany comes back health it would change things considerably.
No, you're not crazy. If those things happen it would indeed be great. Now, if you're expecting those things to happen...

Castro's pitch framing is top notch. So many balls on the outer half he pulls back into the strikezone.
Was just thinking the same thing. He's like Lucroy. Only the opposite.

There was no way he was only going to give up 2 runs today. The Angels have had plenty of men on base and are 0-7 with RISP. Disappointing.

That's our boy Cron!
It's like when you see an ex-girlfriend at a bar being a complete bitch to the guy she is with, and you smile. You feel bad for the guy, but mostly you're happy you don't have to deal with that BS anymore.

Has Ohtani gotten slower
I was wondering the exact same thing. When Buxton bobbled it, I expected Ohtani to be safe by 10 feet.

Skaggs, Heaney, Richards. Time to move on.
Hey now... don't forget Tropeano.

With that, everyone has a hit today... except Cozart.

We talk about Pujols retiring early, we joke about how nobody can stay healthy... personally, I'll believe this organization is serious about competing when Bedrosian is no longer on the roster. He looked great for a few months in 2016 and people (especially including me) gave excuse after excuse about why he hasn't yet returned to that form. He's not going to.
