ukyah got a reaction from Angel Oracle in Anthony Rendon shut down for at least 2 more weeks, internal bleeding discovered
so dumb. yeah, he's made a career out of not caring about it.
calling professional athletes pussies is so lame.
i think there's more evidence to question what continues to go on behind the scenes with the angels organization that they never seem to diagnose an injury properly, especially as to severity. i notice nobody that calls players pussies ever backtracks once they find out their injury was misdiagnosed by the organization.

Maybe it's the .909 OPS, 3 HRs in his last 35 ABs (July).

I'd rather have Moose hitting all those home runs than Rendon's 4-45 anyway.
Find a way to jettison this guy without eating too many millions.
We got shafted with this character.

It's not just Angels fans... but I agree. It's crazy.

Smith is a blowhard of epic proportions. He’s a cartoon character that adult sports fans openly mock.

The first thing that Jack-hole Stephen A. Smith says that means anything will be his first.
I wish Bob Iger had the balls to give him a pink slip like he did with the others.

Iglesias as a salary dump from the Reds was a good deal....Moniak may or may not be able to sustain his production but, for two months of Syndergaard, it's already a good deal for us....

ukyah reacted to Second Base in Moniak in CF
At any rate, acquiring Moniak for Syndergaard has to go down as one of the better trades in Perry's tenure so far.

Much more bummed that Urshela is out than Rendone

The Padres might be sellers since they're falling out of the race for a playoff spot. Very disappointing season for them.

An MLB record of 12 teams scored 10+ runs tonight. And it could have been even better as the Padres scored 9.
The most runs ever scored in a single day in MLB history.
Thanks to Patrick Sandoval for not letting those A-hole Yankees get even close.

ukyah reacted to Duren, Duren in The Official Shohei Ohtani Trade Return Thread (if the Angels trade him)
$500 million will be the starting point. Not the finish line.
I know little about Ohtani's management team, nor how much influence they have with him. But their job is to get the maximum contract while satisfying his desires. So I think baseball and lifestyle factors will be important besides the money and marketing opportunities.
But only to a degree. There is a pride factor for his agency in setting a new high dollar mark. And likely for Ohtani too as a justifiable deal for his proven talent.
I doubt very much that Arte gets a hometown discount. $500 million sounds like a low-ball number if he actually said that. And Ohtani's management team already knows how much off field income he generates. Elsewhere those numbers probably will be much higher. Especially at first when he's new to the team.
And how many of those dedicated Ohtani fans you see at games with signs will remain Angels fans? Look for lots of second hand merchandise for sale if he leaves. And a wave of new purchases for his next team.
