the world is a vile place, taylor, and people do disgusting things that would be unimaginable to us. perhaps more info will come out and i'll change my view accordingly, but i've seen a lot of the social media posts coming from the mom and her child, as i said originally, and they're pretty gross and definitely designed to misrepresent her age as legal age, but not her sexual availability for a few different mlb players.
based off of what i have seen so far, wander franco is going to get screwed by the legal system.

i've seen her and her mother's social media posts, and i'm going to tell you wander franco is about to get fucked over. the mom was catfishing other mlb players as well trying to get her daughter hooked up with them and she and the daughter we're saying she was 18. her social media is filled with serious booty shots, pictures of her out drinking. pictures of her driving. the problem for wander is that the state isn't going to care that he didn't know she was 14, they're going to care that he fucked a 14 year old. from everything i've seen so far, i feel real bad for the guy.

now that's new information. i hadn't seen that yet.  i'll look for that.
as for taylor, i've never interacted with you, but dude you need to grow up and start interacting like an adult with people.
no matter what happens with this case, something bad is going to happen, and you're putting "face" emojis on that.

i don't think it's bizarre to think that every single move perry has and is making is all pointed directly at a desperate attempt to make the playoffs. he literally said this week, i still believe in this team, which is him saying, i still believe they can make the playoffs.

i haven't read any of the previous 5 pages, so i have no idea what the consensus opinion may be, but this seems idiotic to me. what's the point? the angels can't possibly make the playoffs. don't they have to play at like nearly an .800 win percentage just to get to 90 wins, and who says that would be enough to even get the third WC?
all you do is start the clock on a kid that you drafted a month and a half ago. how can anybody think this is anything other than a desperation movie, but one that has no reasonably expected upside? it's bizarre.

It doesn't have "no upside".  The upside is we get to go into the 2024 season with Schanuel being ready to be our starting 1B, which would eliminate the biggest hole in our projected offensive lineup (not counting an Ohtani departure)

Considering there are players who went directly to MLB.  I'd say no.

Those things they’re talking about with velo, pitch shaping and spin rate are all things that must be worked on outside of games and really most if not all in the offseason.  There is no mental space available to be thinking about any of that during a game.  During a game you just get guys out. 

A great coach once told me
"Free their minds"  they can't  think too much.  If they do they will second guess and fail to perform.
It sounds like analytics are making them think too much.

Good article, even if it illuminates part of the reason this is yet-another lost season, for yet-more entirely avoidable mistakes and errors in judgement.

Analytics aren’t bad, but they can be bad if you don’t know how to properly use them.
The Angels don’t know how to properly use them.
Some of the most successful orgs (Dodgers, Rays) rely heavily on analytics, but they also have the right personnel to interpret the data, explain it, and apply it.

I noticed in real time that Webb’s changeup usage was dropping with the Angels, despite it being his bread and butter pitch for years.
I guess they were just leaning into the Stuff+ numbers, while not recognizing what has made Webb successful in the past.
This org needs an overhaul.

I was one of the people blaming Wise, and while I’m still not sure he’s the solution, this article makes it clear that he’s not the only problem.
My biggest takeaway is that the front office and staff/pitchers aren’t on the same page.
This article is a rough look for Perry.
