@rafibomb Don't you guys remember being 23 years old and getting to choose between being too jacked and too cut?

HALOS23 reacted to John Taylor in Pederson/Stripling deal is DEAD. MOVE ON.
So getting Joc seemed to me a lot like getting a younger Kole Calhoun (stats wise) lets look at the 2019 numbers:
Kole: .232/.325/.467/.792 OPS - 33 HR - 74 RBI - 2.3 WAR - 162 K - 152 G - 10.5 Million Salary 2019
Joc: .249/.339/.538/.876 OPS - 36 HR - 74 RBI - 3.3 WAR - 111 K - 149 G - Making 5 Million this season (I think)
One intangible thing is that Joc's younger brother has Down Syndrome and is quite close to Pujols, and Pujols' foundation does a lot for Joc's brother.

I honestly don't get the love for Rengifo. He's basically "just a guy"

HALOS23 reacted to TroutBaseball in Opportunity of a Lifetime
A dream of mine is to sit in the photo well at an MLB game. On Saturday I received last minute notification that our family was being invited into a dugout suite at Angel Stadium. This being the closest thing I've ever had to that opportunity I took my camera. We've been going through some brutal family stuff lately and this was a total godsend and a respite from the storm.
I shot all of these from behind the screen with a good camera, it's no where near the quality that sports photographers use, but it still did a decent job (Canon 60D with the stock lens for camera nerds)
I thought you guys would be able to enjoy these with me.

HALOS23 reacted to Jeff Fletcher in Trout's Walk Pace
I can confirm that.
A couple weeks ago we started talking about Bonds for some reason in the clubhouse and I handed Trout my phone to look at his stats. He couldn’t believe how ridiculous they were.
Juiced or not, those years were amazing.
Plenty of other guys were also on steroids and none did what he did.

HALOS23 reacted to Angelsjunky in Trout's Walk Pace
He's at 41 walks through 47 games. That's a pace of 141 walks in 162 games.
His 19.8% walk rate is third best in the majors, after Bryce Harper (21.1%) and Justin Bour (20.4%). If he maintains it, it is the fourth season in a row that it went up, from 11.8% in 2014, then 13.5%, 17%, 18.5% last year.
41 walks is also 3 more than Garret Anderson ever drew in an entire season.

HALOS23 got a reaction from Angel Oracle in Calhoun
Good call, Jeff! Put Cowart in RF! He just needs a chance!! ?
-
HALOS23 reacted to Jeff Fletcher in Calhoun
I bet if Kole Calhoun had zero major league track record, but had been good in the minors, and he was bad for 65 ABs, people would be saying “He just needs extended playing time. How is he supposed to learn?”
I am thinking of another guy with a career .197 average who many Angels fans just think didn’t get to play enough to prove himself.
