Say what you want, but hunter was one of the better contracts we had ever signed (current era), was a good teamate, and a fan favorite. The 'imposters' thing got blown way the hell out of proportion. He made a solid point, and used one wrong word and people went apeshit. He said mlb doesnt have many black players (true) and said the casual fan sees dominican players and assume theyre black based on appearance but theyre not. Personally, i dont care if mlb has a 1000 black players or zero, i just want to see the best players compete. But he was asked a specific question and he answered it (and regardless, someones always gonna get butthurt when race is discussed).

What we should have done was completely skipped on the Hamilton deal and offered Torii the same money Detroit did. If we gave him a number of years in a contract that he thought would be his last season, we could have let him finish his career out here.
 
Trust me, I'm not the hugest fan of Torii, but I am sick and tired of Hamilton's lax attitude and waste of at bats. I would take Hunter over him in a heartbeat.

i think for some people it's a bucket list kind of thing. i never got to see elton john in his prime, but i've seen him a couple of times since (in the 90s), and it was worth going. same with billy joel back in '99. they couldn't hit the high notes like in their younger days, but it was special to see them live.
 
i saw that neil diamond is touring again, and am not going. wife and i saw him around 1990 and he was already old then. now? scary as all get out.

I have a cat. I've had 5 cats in my lifetime. Each one has been a great pet and fun to have around. They love to be held and get attention just like dogs, they just show it in a less needy manner. Also they are easier to groom and they pretty much take care of themselves. Dogs are needy little shits that literally cannot function without constant attention. You also need to take them outside in the rain and wait for them to take a shit ultimately for them to decide they don't want to until 10 minutes after you bring them back inside.
 
I've had 2 dogs. One we had for 14 years and was a great pet. One we had for 1 month and had to give up because it caused $600 damage tearing up the walls and would shit on the floor 2 minutes after taking a big shit outside. Also it would eat the cat shit out of the litter box and come for kisses. I don't see cats eating their own shit and then trying to lick your face. Nor do I see them causing $600 worth of damage to the interior of your home. Get a scratching post and cut their nails and you are all set.
 
As for it not being "manly" to own a cat...well that's just plain hilarious. I call that "tiny dick" syndrome. You need a big car, a big gun, and a big animal to compensate for your tiny penis. It's just how it goes.
