Let me know when Grichuk becomes a 1-2 WAR player. Apparently a computer projects him to be that. I wonder if that is the same computer that picked us to make it to the World Series the last couple years.

They have spoken out against that too but it really doesn't make waves so nobody cares. I know Jase on the show has come out and said that he and his wife were virgins when they married. The show itself is non-offensive and I have no worries when my 8 year old wants to watch it. I'm a hunter so obviously I'm not offended by their hunting.

It's not a surprise that he said what he said. He has the right to his opinion just as someone who is gay has the right to voice their opinion.
It's kind of a double standard - if you are gay you can now speak very openly and with pride about your lifestyle but if you have more "traditional " values you now have to shut your mouth for fear of being labeled a "homophobe " and possibly lose your job or get boycotted .
I think everyone should be able to voice their opinion on both sides of the issue.

Phil hasn't been comfortable with the show from the beginning but stuck with it because of Ms Kay. He was already planning to leave the show after this season. He's also battled with A&E about how they portray the family (i.e. A&E wanted to add "bleeps" to make it look like they were cussing, Phil wasn't having it). We are talking about a guy who turned down the NFL to pursue education and start his hunting career. Guy doesn't want the limelight. Why anyone cares what his personal views are is beyond me. Phil is a typical mid America red neck that happened to strike it rich and TV found him. I would be shocked if he spoke highly of the gay lifestyle. Boycotting the show won't do anything, most of the viewers don't care. Looking at their demographic, it might boost ratings.

Is it just me or do Angels fans seem way more down on Ernesto Frieri than they should be?
Guy has converted about 89 percent of his saves over two years and aside from 3 horrible games in a two week span has been pretty much nails. And for no money.

.271 with 21 HR & 84 RBI's was about what was expected when he was signed. His OPS was .955 the second half once Sosh realized that, with his bad knees, he should have only been playing 5 days a week and only as a DH.

Woohoo!! I love love love this trade. I'm a huge Trumbo fan, but he was our best trade chip to get good young arms, and we did. I wish him all the best in Arizona.

I'd like the team to make a strong run at Garza. As for Tanaka, I think we all want him, as do I. 

LOL, yeah because a fan base that has seemingly always had an inferiority complex, first to the Dodgers, then to the beasts from the East, was really going to say -- "Okay, Arte, you know what's right and it's time to rebuild."
 
I know for a fact there are more than a few fans here that would have been accepting of a total rebuild scenario, but the vast majority were all about signing that ONE piece and calling out ownership for being simply content with "winning the division".  The amount of whining anytime a FA picked the Yankees or Bosox was comical.  Hell, I remember people whining about the team winning but never doing a wire to wire type season where they blew out the competition, and even after it was clear the Angels outclassed the division there were many that called out ownership for not willing to take what it took, to "take the next step".  
 
Angels fans grew accustomed to winning, so much so that there were lots of people that went on record as saying any season that didnt end with a WS championship was a failure -- few would have been willing to see a Marlins type fire-sale after 2009 in hopes of competing down the road, to argue otherwise is completely horseshit.  Angels fans wanted big FA splashes and HR hitters, those pitching and defense teams were deemed boring and incapable of winning it all.   Well, they got their wish.

Who cares if it's 4 years? This contract is easily moveable if the Royals need to move it later on. Didn't the padres just pay 8 mill for Johnson? Unfortunately the price for pitchers is just going to go up. Vargas is nothing special but he'd be a fine #4 for a few years.

It makes me laugh for some reason that Kinsler and Torii Hunter are going to be teammates.

I don't see Kinsler doing much for Detroit, but it allows them to secure their rotation and lock them up. I think Kinsler benefitted a lot from the Arlington ballpark, the same way Prince is going to benefit from it. Any Angels' fan who thinks Prince can't turn it around is insane. He's only 29 and he went through a lot of off the field drama. If he can straighten that out, he'll be fine. Like some others have stated, if Hamilton and Pujols can rebound, so can Prince.

Not caring about the draft picks is what has plunged this team into high payroll/low performance results.
The Angels need to step away from the mortgage the future practices since they have already blown several drafts in a row. Ulbaldo is nottgat player that a team with a weak minor leagues should be giving up a midfle pick in the first round. He just doesn't have the stable resume.
The Angels need to give Vargas a qualifying offer and quit fing around with worrying if he accepts. If he does you have at least a one year rental at the league going price. You may be able to get a lower overall number with a three year deal or if he bolts you have a draft pick instead of giving him away for free.
F no for dealing away too much talent for Price and having 2 years of top arb money or even more if theytry a contract extension. Giving up Sappington will bite the Angels ass as much as Corbin or Skaggs. Price will bolt to the Yankees and we will be out two players still under club control and a young arm that is probably going to be MLB ready in two seasons.

No thank you to any of the options here. Napoli? Boston isn't gonna let him walk away and he isn't worth losing a draft pick over. Same goes for Morales, I'd rather see what CJ Cron can do rather than give up a draft pick for Morales. 
 
As for Ubaldo, I don't like his command issues and I don't trust our pitching coach to keep him in line. I'm also not convinced that he is "fixed". From June on isn't enough evidence, at least to me, to prove that he has turned it around. 

I woke up this morning looking for all of my buddy Clippers' "fans" on Facebook. I didn't see a single post. Nobody wants to let me troll them .
