Lucas Giolito trade may end up as one of the most disastrous trades in Angels history. Good lord.

Why would he make it up.  It sounds exactly like what we’ve heard from others.  
 
Arte is a weird owner.  Good in some ways.  Really bad in others.  This checks out to me.

Here is what doesn't add up for me.
If he is a rotten apple, why did he jump out of the dugout with a cast and start swinging in the bench clearing brawl of 2022?
If he doesn't care about playing why did he come back off the IL at the end of 2022 so he could serve his 10 game suspension in 2022 and not have to miss the first 10 games of 2023?
Did he fool Moreno and Billy into giving him a big payday knowing that he was going to phone it in?
Was he secretly practicing fouling balls off of his shin?
It just doesn't all add up for me.

I wish. Jones has three Superbowl rings. Moreno hasn't gotten the team to the World Series. 

Rendon hates baseball so much he worked for many years to build his skills to such a high level that he could hit the ball off his knee when the time was right.

I blame the Angels' for a lot of things; but this isn't on them. He wanted autonomy over his body and usage and he got it. He had full control and ran himself into the ground. Hell he's only at 130 IP this year. He's had a hx of elbow issues and this just further enforces that his elbow will always be a concern. 

This is bullshit… he had tommy John and sat for a whole 12 months +, we had a 6 man rotation for him, all sorts of innings and pitch count limits especially when Eppler was around, this is really the first year he’s been in charge of his work load. I know we are all frustrated but don’t make BS up.

I actually also heard this from someone who knows him. He said thought Ohtani wants to be one carrying a team to success. This was an Angels person, so maybe a biased opinion or wishful thinking but it didn’t sound made up to me. 

Dodgers or Mariners. If he wants to be on a perennial contender; he'll sign with the Dodgers. If he wants to give a solid young team a chance to take the next step, Seattle. 
Personally, if he doesn't sign with the Angels', I would love to see him sign with the Dodgers so I can still go see him play whenever the hell I want. I know that won't be a popular opinion but screw it. 

Seattle just came onto our field and gave Ohtani a power point on signing with them this offseason. They effectively ended our season while he sat there and watched. 
I've accepted Ohtani is gone if we miss the playoffs; I would love to be wrong about that. I think what needs to happen is what's needed to happen for awhile now; we need to blow it up. Trade whatever you can for prospects, clear out whatever bad contracts you can, and start from scratch.

The best step forward is Arte to sell, the entire FO cleaned out, Nevin gone, only keep Trout and try to win when he’s an old man. Reality sucks. 

I like it. But Ohtani will not be strong into his 40’s, that simply doesn’t happen. 

It's bad luck, it's injuries, it's this, it's that, blah, blah, blah.  Excuse after excuse.  I guess the Mariners had "bad luck" with the ball that Rodriguez hit off the top of the wall that bounced back in play, too, huh? Oh, right, everyone forgot about that one now, because it doesn't fit the narrative.
